It’s a very well-rounded, good looking, good performing vape. It has also proven to be extremely reliable, I’ve received virtually zero defect complaints and the original unit shown in my review still works like new. The PAX 2 is tiny, and still has an oven which is 91% the size of the PAX 1. The fact that it is 30% smaller and 25% lighter than the original, is really impressive and the PAX 2 fits really nicely in your hand when vaping. I would experiment to see which setting works best for you but generally I’ve found medium heat to produce the most consistent results. Just upgraded from an original PAX to the PAX3, although I haven’t used the consentrate insert yet, I was quite impressed by this unit. I was hoping you could say your input on these 3 kinds when it comes to vapor quality and battery life which one you would prefer. its kinda hard to not choose the mighty over the pax products but ive heard that there is a possibility of a defect. one has 10 year warranty while the mighty only has 2 year warranty. so I’m really confused with the choices I have :/

You’ll notice that the “screen” is not really a screen at all, it’s more of a stainless steel plate with grooves around the edges. These grooves are where the air flows through to the mouthpiece, so when they get a little gunked up with residue it can make it a little harder to pull from. The procedure is the same for the PAX 1 and PAX 2, you just need to cut the screen a tiny bit smaller with the new model since the oven is not quite as wide. The oven in the new PAX 2 is a tiny bit smaller but it’s also slightly deeper. They designed the new one this way to maximize the surface area of material being heated which helps it perform a little better.The Pax 2 uses a stainless steel oven that is 91% the size of the original Pax, but it’s a bit deeper and not quite as wide which helps vape your herbs a little more evenly as there is a higher surface area of material being heated.

Hey it’s normal for the screen to pop out a millimeter or two, I wouldn’t worry about it not being completely snug against the bottom, you actually get better airflow when it’s not. Hi everyone just got this today and while using the flat mouth piece the vape goes from green to blinking purple after 2 seconds of draw… What am I doing wrong? Boost Mode impacts the quartet of default temperature settings this device has, and you can also use the app to create and apply a custom fifth setting. Did anyone else notice similar issues with their Pax 2 as far as the odor/smell? Any suggestions on how to mitigate it? I absoloutely love my pax2 have no desire to get a 3 , some people think it’s pricey but it’s 100 percent worth it , will never return to smoking.

I bought a Pax2 based on your review, as this is my first vaporizer. I was quite surprised at how hard it is draw off of the flat mouthpiece (the sipper) and how hot the other mouthpiece gets. It is extremely uncomfortable to use, even at the first draw. I also find that even though I am not drawing hard, a full chamber cannot give 10 pulls with good vapor. The first few must be sips as the vapor is so full and then you have to pull hard at the end to get any. And as it takes so long for the oven to cool down, the material really cooks out. Better than a flame, but perhaps I should have chosen a non-portable vape? To quote their CMO “We redesigned the PAX 2 to have both the lip-sensing, and a new heating algorithm that adjusts temperature dynamically based on how you use it. We also focused the temp algorithm on the materials themselves, rather than the oven temp, to make sure the draw was consistent from first to last.” According to Pax Labs’ Chief Marketing Officer Scott Dunlap, “It’s not an early vs late, nor is it about the colour of the unit. We’ve randomly set up multiple flavours of the Easter eggs in Party Mode, so that you all had some unique character to your own PAX 2.” If you don’t want to buy a new grinder there are a couple of things you could try with what you have. First thing to keep in mind is that you’ll get a finer grind and more vapor if your herb is fully dried out with very little moisture left in it. After you initially grind your material you can try spreading it out on a sheet of paper for a short while to dry even more, then you can try vaping as-is or re-grinding again to break it down a little more.
