Key Stage 3
In years 7, 8 and 9 students study a broad curriculum comprising Art; Computing; Design & Technology; Drama; English; Geography; History; Languages (French, Latin & Spanish in Year 7, of which students then choose 2 to take through into Year 8); Mathematics; Music; Physical Education; Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education (PSHCE); Religion, Philosophy and Ethics (RPE); and Science. Key Stage 4
Compulsory Subjects are English Language and English Literature (2 GCSEs), Mathematics, Science - Separate (3 GCSEs). Compulsory National Curriculum Core subjects are Physical Education, Religious Education and Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education. GCSE subject options include Art, Business Studies, Dance, Drama, Computer Science, Food Technology, Graphic Products, French, Spanish, Latin, Geography, History, Music, Philosophy and Ethics, Physical Education and Textiles.
Current Year 10 students chose their GCSE options in the Spring Term of 2016. This Curriculum Information Handbook from January 2016 gives details of the curriculum they are following in years 10 and 11.
