Looking to cash in on the current trend of rebooting anything more than a few months old, EA threw its flagship FPS out of the over-covered age of angry Nazis and Thompson machineguns and tried to bring it bang up to date. this game manages to modernize Medal of Honor while also keeping it in the past, and the writing is pretty decent. We encountered numerous illusion breaking bugs that saw friendly AI characters stuck on geometry or repeating animation cycles. About two minutes later, I was cursing Medal of Honor as I desperately tried to figure out exactly which 10-square-foot area I needed to enter to start the next mandatory scripted sequence. Gary Hartley arbitrarily arrives, leaves a review for a game no one has heard of, then retreats to his 17th century castle in rural England to feed whatever lives in the moat and complain about you.It's a little contrived the way the missions are sewn together, but it keeps you involved in the plot.

COD eradicated this by either having many places where you reappeared or placing you away from the fighting but MOH has the exact same flaws as Airborne and EA like always have not listened to it's fans like me! The 6 trailers released beforehand had me salivating with expectation as they were awesome but that feeling of slight disappointment is always there as i play it. Against a well set out OPFOR, the Allies run into corridors of death, mowed down before they can reach a semblance of cover.

The only dangerous points throughout the game came from enemies that I couldn't see or positions that I literally couldn't hit before triggering another scripted sequence. As with other reviewers MOH will always be compared to the COD games and i'm puzzled as to why it's taken EA 3 years to release this game as Infinity Ward/Activision have been knocking blockbusters out 4 in 3yrs EA have been working on this? A book written by Chris Ryan was released around the time as the game and explains the backstory of the game.As i've been playing COD for 3 years as i waited for this game i was disappointed to see that you can't change the controller configuration to use the SIXAXIS controller's trigger button to fire your weapon, you have to use L1 to aim and R1 to shoot which is weird! However she has said she will not legislate on the subject and has confidence in the ability of Danish youth to discriminate between right and wrong.
