Description

The battery will only receive charge when the iN-CAR CAM is connected to power, please reconnect the car adaptor and leave the iN-CAR CAM turned on. When a power source is connected the 312GW starts recording automatically, saving three-minute clips to a memory card up to 32GB – not included with the camera. The default mode is 1080P at 30fps and footage is very clear, even in fairly low light conditions, but if you want a higher frame rate the camera supports 720P at 60fps. The built-in G-sensor will allow the Dashcam to record any impacts or sudden course changes and the footage is automatically protected on the memory card. The built-in GPS allows for the vehicle's exact position and route to be recorded and a date and time stamp is also included in the recording to prevent any potential dispute in the event of an incident. However, you don't just have to rely on the G-sensor, you can also press a nice red button on the Dashcam to manually create a permanently saved event in a situation where something has happened in front of you. Nextbase have reserved many of their best features for the 622GW which was announced later than the other devices in the Series 2 Dashcam range and only went on sale in 2020. The 222 is slightly larger than the 122 which allows it to have a larger screen and a wider camera angle at 140° instead of 120°.

Take your Dash Cam inside and plug it into mains power or a computer using the Nextbase provided USB cable. If the Dash Cam does not appear as a drive on your PC, please press the reset button on the underside of your Dash Cam and try all the USB ports on your computer. Nextbase have gone all out to make sure this device is worth upgrading, another feature is the extreme weather mode which uses sophisticated algorithms to improve visibility in fog or other bad weather. It has been completely re-designed to provide a fresh new look and feel, for enhanced user experience. Best option is to put it on the shortest shut down time, if it runs out of battery power and therefore can't shut down correctly it will kill the last stored segment, ie the one you need having been involved in an accident, it is the prime reason I bought a dashcam that uses capacitors not batteries, the thinkware F770, hardwired it also protects with it's parking mode.Nextbase describe it as a "dash cam solution for new or experienced motorists who want instant upload capabilities to social media, or their insurer. Market leading thanks to its connective capabilities and ease of use, this new dawn for dash cams simply reinforces Nextbase's position as the most popular dash cam brand in the UK". It boasts many features such as GPS logging, WiFi, Smartphone Apps, a 2.7" LCD screen, G-sensor and 1080p recording. Includes: 5V Mini USB power cable, 2 Amp ATO/C fuse (standard), 2 Amp ATM fuse (mini), Fuse tap table (standard), Fuse tap cable ATM (mini) and Ferrite core to remove electrical interference.Total Length = 5 metres. Please remember that after this test your Dash Cam will once again need charging as the battery will be flat. On the Dash Cam's screen you'll see a menu of 3 options. Please select 'Mass Storage' on the Dash Cam screen and then OK so that only that displays on the screen.

I’d recommend using a separate Camera such as the 122 or 222 on the rear windscreen. You will need a separate power supply and SD card as it will not connect to your 312GW, but can be used as a Camera facing rearwards. The prices are comparable with the Series 2 Rear Cams, and if you’d like to keep using your 312GW, is the most viable option. The 422GW has a camera resolution of 1440p, more commonly known as 2k. Whilst the camera does also offer 60fps, you will need to keep the resolution at 1080p to utilise this. Anyway your helpful thread above suggested the brand of SD card and as a test I brought the camera quality down from 1080 to 720 as I thought the write speed may not be fast enough on the card and after 1 day and several journeys it seems to be ok When I start the car and drive, normally around 10 minutes into the journey it lights up and the recording counter stops. https://cdn.nextbase.com/nextbase-en-gb/2018/06/NBDVR312GW-iN-CAR-CAM-Firmware-Release-R6.4-Ver.-B-R06.9-including-Instructions.zip

On the dash cam's screen you'll see a menu of 3 options. Please select 'Mass Storage' on the Dash Cam screen and then OK so that only that displays on the screen. HD RECORDING AT 30FPS AND 140° WIDE VIEWING ANGLE - The 222X records in 1080p HD resolution at 30fps with a 6G lens to provide high quality images and footage for your journey on the road and for insurance claims. The 140° wide viewing angle ensures that a wide coverage of the road ahead will be recorded. As is to be expected of Nextbase, the 312GW is nicely made, with a sturdy plastic structure and familiar rear button layout. Navigating through settings menus is straightforward, but the red emergency button, for saving interesting or important clips, is quite small so might be fiddly when on the move. I got a nextbase 312 with a 32gb sandisk card and it stops recording on almost every journey. Its driving me nuts! One of our favourite things about the series 2 dashcam range is that it’s really easy to understand. For every model you go up, from 122 through to 622, you’ll get more features or better specs.Remove the SD card and press the reset button on the underside of the dash cam. Then turn the Dash Cam on. Please turn Parking Mode off and turn Screen Saver off as these could interfere with the test results. The 122 is right at the lower end of the market and is a small, compact device that comes at a budget price. It has all of the essential features you need from a dashcam, including loop recording which writes over the footage you don’t need so you never need to delete the footage. If you need to keep footage, you can manually save it or the built in G-sensor can detect crashes and protect footage for you. Plug your Dash Cam in. Ensure the cable is plugged directly into the Dash Cam and NOT via the mount. If you look at the options on most nextbase they have a few timer options to shut down after power lost, I know on my 402 there was a 5 minute option, trouble is it would not last 5 minutes even after being fully charged driving for hours, it is normal for the cams to get warm, I have 5 nextbase in family, all rubbish constant problems, constant repairs, constantly unreliable the biggest problem is ?, BATTERIES, charging circuit cooks the batteries, I had 4 in a year
