They said to me "Come and try these chicken wings, they're quite hot" Little did I know, they'd put some Dave's Insanity Sauce on them. Item was as described, delivered on time, and seller was great about providing updates during the process.

Part of the intrigue behind the sauce name (Insanity) was founder Dave Hirschkop’s wearing of a straitjacket at events promoting his products. This is Dave's very first hot sauce and also the only one banned from the National Fiery Food Show for being too hot! The hottest I have on hand is Melinda's Naga Jolokia, which is about as hot as I want, but it's very tasty. Marinate 1 single piece of chicken in Dave's Insanity Sauce for 24 hours, whilst the remaining chicken is marinated in a covering of Chicken Tonight plus a few drops of red food colouring. Dumping a pile of Dave's Insanity on something kind of reminds me of the time my mother mailed me a container of home-made chili pepper paste, along with some home-made tamales.

I bought this from these guys down at the West Dean Chilli Fiesta in 2013, and didn’t get round to opening this about 3 months back.

The product contains onions, garlic, vinegar and a miscellaneous assortment of spices but literally all I can taste is tomato purée and a similarly concentrated version of your standard supermarket variety red chilli flavour.

The taste is equally impressive, with layers of complex flavors that manage to shine through the intense heat. Well, my Mad Dog 357 arrived this morning and it's taken me until now to gather the courage to try it. Product Ingredients: Red habaneros, tomato sauce, hot pepper extract, onions, red chiles, garlic, cane vinegar, vegetable oil, spics, anthum gum (natural stabiliser).Dave's Insanity Sauce, created by the company Dave's Gourmet, is one of the most well-know hot sauces. They don't have the flavour of a habanero or scotch bonnet, they don't have the soapy heat I get from bird's eyes and they simply don't have any distinctive qualities to them that I can discern over the powerful chilli and tomato concentrates. It adds a whole new dimension of flavor to my meals, turning even the simplest dishes into exciting culinary adventures. Just brush a tiny bit mixed with water on whatever it is they're trying to destroy, it's like they can smell the extreme hotness before they get to it and won't touch it.
