The main note is brown sugar which is much warmer than the white sugary notes used in some of her previous fragrances. I complete the sacrilege by mixing it with heady complex scents that don't 100% sit right with me like Opium EDT to mellow them out. |Midnight Fantasy Perfume by Britney Spears was introduced by Britney Spears in 2007. Fantasy Midnight Fantasy Perfume is recommended for evening wear. Midnight Fantasy takes you on a magical journey from day to night An intoxicating elixir of luscious fruits invites you into a mysterious realm of temptation and intrigue. I am so envious of people who like this, to my nose it smells like a horrible slightly berry scented detergent, nothing sweet or gourmand about it :( I think if Pantene shampoo was made into a bottled fragrance, it would smell like Midnight Fantasy. That's not to say it smells bad or very cheap; it's still fresh and pretty with a bit more complexity than the original Fantasy.

Second whiff: The Body Shop had a limited edition Blueberry Body Butter made from cold pressed blueberry seed oil. The fragrance was clearly not natural but it smells like the berry notes in this. There's a depth to it from that plum, but despite it's name, this is not a night time frag for me. I'd wear in the day time when I want to smell fresh and pretty, or after a work out. Husband remarks I smell clean whenever I wear it. This fragrance has a heliotrope, jasmine and pink pepper. It comes across as more grown-up than many of her sweeter or fruitier fragrances. The iconic original Britney Spears Fantasy perfume comes in a bright pink bottle with green diamonds on. The perfume, to be honest, did remind me of shampoo the first time I wore it. I think this just happens with Iris notes sometimes, they tend to pull soapy until your skin chemistry reacts fully with it. After a few wears, however, my body chemistry and nose have really started to love this scent. I'll pull out the bottle just to smell it, it's intoxicating.Literally nothing else in my experience smells like THIS fruity-floral fragrance, and that's a significant accomplishment in a world of olfactory drones. For me, I had to wear this to the gym to smell them. And I sprayed more than usual cause it was just me in there and I like to test how scents perform once warmed past the intial notes.

Released during the height of the #FreeBritney movement regarding her controversial conservatorship, the ad campaign for Fantasy Intense features old images or just images of the bottle. I do wonder to what extent, if any at all, Britney was involved in this new perfume release.

But the thing is, this is a lot more mysterious. It’s deep, sexy but is still sweet. In my liking it’s not too sweet. It’s not a “sugary” sweet, but more of a natural sweet, with plum and some other notes that pairs so well. There is a hint of mandarin orange and osmanthus which both nicely compliment and ‘hold up’ the cherry blossom.

One of my very first perfumes in middle school so it carries a lot of nostalgia for me more than anything. A tangy, sweet, shampooey, dark blue/purple fruity berry scent. It smells like the color of the bottle.

As with a lot of fruity perfumes, there’s almost an alcohol note when you spray it - like a fruity vodka or something like that - I always think that red fruits in a perfume bring out the alcohol content rather than disguise it. It’s not intensely alcohol, though, so it’s very much something you can deal with here. The synthetic fruity sweetness is just too much. I don't get any distinct plum, cherries or vanilla and zero flowers - just a super-powerful blast of synthetic 'berries', like you drowned yourself in pink Herbal Essences conditioner (and then maybe rolled around in icing sugar afterwards). I'm glad I *didn't* ever look at these notes before today, bec I typically hate cherry. But...it isn't syrupy or heavy, in fact, I don't get typical cherry at all. It simply smells like more plum. Very easy to wear and is a mood-booster for sure. I like it in the summer too, but it really comes alive in colder weather.
