Products from final tend to have distinguished recognizable designs and the ZE3000 is no different. Taking inspiration from its own A, B and MAKE series, the ZE3000 has a distinctive style that looks modern and unique in the TWS space. Ironically, these highly sought after eartips are a poor pairing with the E3000. As we will discuss later, the E3000 are dark in the treble region, and these tips further chisel away the treble frequencies and cut off air. Overall though, what stood out to me, song after song, was the clarity and transparency on display here. Even better for my tastes, this was not achieved through the employment of a sterile or clinical sound signature, but through judicious tuning and capable engineering chops, which enable Final to bring this clarity with a gorgeously musical and engaging signature; the kind where your music really gets your head bobbing, and a foolish grin spreading upon your face. Or is that just me?

I was not expecting the microphone to be any good, but I have had multiple conference calls using these earbuds, with no complaints. Final Audio is most reliable when it comes to delivering a wide soundstage no matter the type of product. When I reviewed the EVA 2020, I was impressed by the imaging, as it reminded me of how their E series IEM felt. Now with the ZE3000 taking even more notes from that series, this true wireless accomplishes more than its predecessor with an even more expansive width and even more transparency. While the tone remains exceptionally balanced as it goes into the center of the frequency spectrum, it leans into its high mids more than its lower mids. I wouldn’t call the low mids scooped; it’s more like they stay neutral as the high mids add some crunch to snares and emphasize the fry in vocals a little more than they do the fundamental. I do think a little more warmth in the low mid area could have been afforded since it’s not like it would be competing with an overly boosted bass response. That is mostly a speculative critique; while the ze2000 isn’t what I would call warm, it’s not sterile or empty either, and ultimately I was very pleased with its handling of the middle frequencies. The ZE3000’s built-in microphone sounds great. My voice comes through very clearly and with adequate volume and it does a decent job of filtering outside noise too. You can easily make phone calls or have video conferencing with these earphones.The soundstage is huge, both in width, height and depth, and the image is absolutely to the point. Also amazing is the separation and the dynamics. Because of the little emphasized lower frequencies, the ZE3000 sound feels airier and lighter than usual. The mids have a subtle warm undertone, but you can't miss their brighter-than-neutral tonality. Switch over from the last regular radio, tv, or car radio you listened to, and the Final Audio baffles you with its clarity. Instrumental center-mids like guitars and piano play are clear and vibrant, and lower male and female vocals appear crisp and natural. Slightly higher up, both voices and violins and trumpets enjoy plenty of space and sound detailed.
