This latest door - mainly the frame makes it more useful, not only can we have standard opening doors but large plane windows or even sliding doors (COOL) ! The 1970's LEGOLand vehicles had proper minifigs, but the vehicle scales were way too small, but they work in the background. But, on the whole, I like the modern 6-high doors - they are versatile, and good for both play and display.

Keep in mind that anyone can view public collections—they may also appear in recommendations and other places.Includes a wide selection of windows and doors, plus a colorful mix of LEGO® pieces including eyes, wheels, hinges and bricks for kids to create classic LEGO toys. Like Ricecracker, I think there is a place for making your own doors, though my attempts have led to heavy yet flimsy structures - good for historical buildings but unwieldy round town. These are quite good, and offer a fairly large range of pieces, however i do tend to feel they are a little expensive for what you get, I think another 30% would have made them good value, so one point off for that. Back in the 1950s when LEGO was still using the old archaic slotted bricks (the slots were to hold windows and doors in place instead of via studs).

There are never enough (and often no) doors and windows in the basic Lego boxes, so I thought this would be a great supplement to her Lego collection. Perhaps the nostalgia factor plays a significant role in here, as well as what the eye is used to when it comes to LEGO doors. Thankfully with 7594 Woody's Round-Up they used this piece properly - as a bar door - but I really dislike that this hideous part is the new standard window shutter. What does work, is building 1/2 scale versions of newer style buildings, using the 2x3 door and the older 2x2 windows (instead of the newer 4x4 ones)and then putting them in the 'background'. As official buildings, especially the modular ones, become more accurate in terms of scale, naturally a bigger door is needed in comparison.

It came with various pieces to build only windows and doors for an addition to a LEGO collection or for additional parts of buildings. I cannot mention realism as a deciding factor for me since I don't MOC in a "proffesional" way and extreme accuracy and realism is something that's not my target when it comes to LEGO. And since Denmark, Norway and Sweden had some of their own local production (in Billund, Oslo and Lerum respectively), there were some LEGO items produced that TLG Denmark was not even aware of since Norway had their own LEGO production until 1961, and Sweden was a hodge-podge of gettting LEGO parts from Norway and Denmark. A few years later, LEGO would introduce a new 3×4 door contained in many Universal Building sets that allowed small fingers to open an attachable screen.

This European Windows/Doors Retailer Box image is from Chapter 43 - LEGO Service Packs and Individual Part Sales from my LEGO DVD/download. Rather than focusing on specialized pieces or intricate themed models, Bricks and More emphasized open-ended creativity with more generic LEGO bricks and simple building concepts. Discover imaginative new ways to use windows and doors in your LEGO® building with the LEGO Classic Windows of Creativity set. I already have an additional 5 "unknown" sets that will be in the next version of the 2800 page download. This set offers 3 levels of building complexity, making it an excellent starter set for budding LEGO builders.
