i am so here for CoHo branching out beyond her traditional contemporary romance stories. it just proves she can write human emotions so aptly, no matter the situation. During the day when I’m chatting with Willow on the computer, I spend that time wishing she could take over Layla and I could talk to her face to face. While eleven-year-old Nora Davis was up in her bedroom doing homework, she had no idea her father was killing women in the basement.

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover comes a novel that explores life after tragedy and the enduring spirit of love. Leeds ends up on a forum where people discuss ghosts and gets the idea to communicate with it. He plays the piano and it plays a few keys for him, confirming there’s a ghost around. The ghost then uses his laptop to type her name, Willow. I think I may have also sang Eric Clapton’s Layla at the top volume so he putted duct tapes to cover my mouth, see I already started turning into Layla) I wanted Leeds to do some “behind the scenes” digging into Willow, as that would have added some substance to this intriguing tale. There was nothing I felt towards this book, the characters, and whatever the book's message is. I don’t even remember what I thought I would expect from this book, but what I got was definitely not it. I never thought I’d feel more for someone than I felt that night. But right now . . . I’m feeling everything I can feel in this world, coupled with everything I could feel in Willow’s world. Now all I feel is remorse, because it wasn’t until ten seconds ago that I realized I’ve already moved on to another cycle. but regardless, this is another satisfyingly wonderful CoHo story and i would never expect anything less from the queen herself.

That revelation was a little exaggerated for my own taste! I drank my whole bottle of Sauvignon Blanc but I was still giving blank looks to my e-reader, blinking nonstop and telling my husband : I solved the mystery, I’m Layla!Desde o primeiro momento em que Leeds pousou seus olhos em Layla, ele ficou completamente fascinado por seu jeito de ser. It’s Willow I want to talk to when I wake up. Willow I want to see before I close my eyes. Willow I want to spend all my time with during the day.

this story is a roller coaster of a journey. i am always amazed at how much CoHos writing can make me feel. whilst reading this, i was constantly contemplating how well two people can really know each other, how fast and genuine love can develop, how much effort is enough to show someone how things used to be and the best way to act when certain feelings have changed. i love that there are no boundaries to this story. its thought-provoking and emotionally compelling. even with the paranormal aspect! Oceňujem hlavne svojský a originálny námet, rozuzlenie, lebo bolo také, aké som nečakala (autorka ma naťahovala, vždy keď som si myslela, že ,,ahaaa, už viem ako to je", tak mi dokázala, že neviem vôbec nič), ďalej sa mi páčil štýl písania knihy - rozhovory so záhadným mužom striedali kapitoly Leedsových spomienok a samozrejme celé to tajomno, ktorým srší tá kniha a filozofovanie o posmrtnom ,,živote". sa týka hlavnej postavy Leedsa, tak jeho som mala chuť miestami zavraždiť. Na takého manipulatívneho klamára som už dlho nenatrafila v knihe. They’re all so poorly written too. We know the bare minimum about the characters and somehow we’re supposed to care about them. The most interesting thing about any of them is that there’s a love triangle. How sad is that. Typically in a normal romance, it’s the other way around—y’know, when you’d lower the rating because something you didn’t like happen somewhere in the last 1/3 of the book. This is not your avarage romance. It’s . . . peculiar. There are creepy elements, but it’s not scary. It’s compelling and emotional, which basically sums up anything CoHo writes.I love that Hoover blends genres and I appreciate the uniqueness of this book. I'm sure I've never read anything like it and the way she thinks outside the box is awesome. Leeds talks to Willow every night and Layla is always confused as to why she’s tired and gaining weight because Willow always wants to eat. They spend time together until it starts to get uncomfortable, to the point where Leeds starts wishing/imagining Willow is in Layla’s body when he has sex with Layla. Leeds and Willow end up kissing and Leeds states he doesn’t care if it’s wrong.
