Cortado is a small espresso-based intense milky (around 3-4 ounces or 85 – 120ml) with somewhere along the lines of 1:1.5 – 1:2 espresso/milk, with a very small amount of foam, usually served in what is referred to as a cortado glass.

Despite its premium price, this attractive frother makes a worthwhile investment for serious coffee lovers. If you have or are thinking of buying a Nespresso machine, they will try and persuade you to buy their “aeroccino” milk frother, and this is worth looking at if there's a bundle deal where you end up getting the frother for a decent, low price, but otherwise, just keep in mind that you may be able to save yourself some money by choosing one of the options below, some of which are the same kind of frothers as Aeroccino, just not Nespresso branded.
