Indoor testing was conducted using the latest Titleist Pro V1 RCT golf balls (where applicable). Not all devices are compatible. The GolfJoy GDS Plus was tested using the company’s own marked balls, although recent software updates make it possible to use the GDS Plus without marked balls (a big win in our book). The Rapsodo MLM2Pro was tested using the included Callaway RPT balls and the GolfZon Wave was tested using normal Titleist Pro V1 balls. Data is cool, sure, but what else can your personal launch monitor do? If you’re shelling out hundreds or even thousands of dollars, it better do something other than show you just numbers. In addition, you can enjoy golf simulation with the MLM2PRO through Rapsodo Range, Rapsodo Courses, E6 CONNECT, and Awesome Golf. A full simulator setup with a projector and screen is definitely a way more realistic and fun experience. But you can also have a lot of fun with a simpler setup.
It's accurate, and provides a ton of cool data and features. It's a solid choice for both a lower handicapper who really wants to dive into the data, or a higher handicapper who is more so looking for a good time with family and friends. With the X3, you can set up multiple camera feeds and then sync the multi-angle video with radar data on every shot. What makes the SC4 so unique and valuable is that while it has an onboard display that allows you to get your numbers without any software, it also supports golf simulation. Apart from affordability and accuracy, the main attractions of the MLM2PRO and what sets it apart from other launch monitors in its class are its unique Impact Vision and Shot Vision views with active ball tracer. The Bushnell Launch Pro is a state-of-the-art launch monitor that boasts an array of impressive features designed to elevate the golfing experience. It’s important to note that the Bushnell Launch Pro and the Foresight GC3 are built with the same technology. It gives you all of that data, and displays it in a 3d style chart more akin to what you’d see in a professional fitting studio. In particular, the MLM2PRO introduces Android compatibility and support for indoor golf simulation, giving it complete visibility into the games of golfers all around the world. What we like the most about View is the Club Optix slow-motion view of the club impacting the ball. The QED and EYE XO offer this from a top-down perspective; the EYE MINI’s side view gives you a whole new insight into how your ball impacts the clubface. I found the app very intuitive, and pretty much anything I wanted to adjust could be done in the settings section.
You can also get a great driving range practice experience with 3D trajectory views, video recording and more through the FS Golf app for Android and iOS. Other FlightScope apps and the FS Golf PC software can be paired with the Mevo Plus.One of the really nice benefits of the GC3 launch monitor is that it comes in bundles that include FSX 2020 and FSX Play software, which provides an ultra-realistic golf simulation experience with support for up to 5K resolution. Third-party integrations such as GSPro and E6 CONNECT are also possible. Connection is only half the battle, though. The user interface should be a breeze to navigate. Devices like the Bushnell Launch Pro and its large touchscreen and the Full Swing KIT’s side mounted buttons make navigating menus and changing settings much easier than others.
