But first, it sounds like there’s still plenty of Grogu’s story to tell on The Mandalorian. Showrunner Jon Favreau has confirmed that he’s already written a fourth season of the hit show, with no sign of wrapping things up anytime soon. The most recent entry saw Grogu going through basic Jedi training with Luke. Adorable as it may have been (not to mention a gesture of good will for those who felt Luke didn’t act to their liking in The Last Jedi), it was the start of the same story we’ve seen over and over again. But the conflict within the young padawan is apparent from the moment his true father figure leaves the planet. It’s the same conflict Star Wars creators face today: Do they stay on the path charted out for them, or go in search of something strange and undefined? I mean, it'd be one thing if the writing alone was particularly good, but the subjects that Keefe has chosen are intoxicatingly compelling. Some of these people engage in some truly deplorable activities, see the El Chapo piece, and Keefe's attempt to paint their portraits without having ever spoken to them makes psychological profiles by proxy (he calls them "write-arounds"). It's fascinating how well he's able to reconcile two differing opinions from sources with stone cold evidence or a pattern of behaviour he's established in his reporting.

Someday, though, everyone in the galaxy far, far away might know him as Mandalore’s ruler. That might sound like a bold prediction, especially when you remember how much Mandalorians hate Force users. But anything and everything seems possible for young Grogu, who has already lived an incredible life. Who exactly is The Mandalorian‘s little star? Where did he come from and what do Imperial officers want with him? Here’s everything we know about Grogu’s adventures in Star Wars history and what might await him in the future. Where and When Was Grogu Born? Lucasfilm Swapping positions is also a big part of gaining incremental resource advantages. Melee cards, for instance, cost one less when played by a hero who is leading, while Ranged cards are the same for the rear position. Weaving these discounts in while also paying attention to other keywords like Combo (which drops the cost of the Combo card by one if you play a card from the other hero first) is integral to making the most of your turns. Much like Anakin, Grogu was too emotionally connected to his parent to totally commit to his Jedi training. Grogu chose to leave Luke and the Jedi behind when presented with the opportunity. Luke told Grogu he could stay and continue learning with him, or he could accept the gift of a Beskar steel chainmail shirt Din left for him and reunite with the Mandalorian. a b c d e Hall, Charlie (December 18, 2019). While the Mandalorian, Bo-Katan, and Ragnar's father Paz (Jon Favreau) leave to rescue him, Grogu joins the Armorer at the Forge, where she teaches him Mandalorian culture and forges him a beskar rondel. The Forge triggers more of Grogu's memories of the Great Jedi Purge, revealing that he escaped Coruscant with the help of Jedi Master Kelleran Beq ( Ahmed Best) and sympathetic members of the Naboo Armed Forces.
