Description

The watch has 30-meter water resistance. This essentially means it can handle some water splashes, but it should not be submerged in water. Next to sushi and sumo wrestling, Seiko watches are considered one of the best things to come from Japan. The lume on this watch was incredibly weak, but only because the surface area that was actually lumed was tiny. Only the hour and minute hands and tiny markings around the outside of the dial had luminescent paint. It only worked after being exposed to strong light, and only lasted a few minutes. To be quite honest the lume was so unimpressive it didn't even warrant a photograph. The watch has a simple circular-shaped case design with a polished bezel and short and simple lugs that curve out from the case. The top of the lugs and the sides of the case are brushed satin-finished which creates a nice contrast against the bezel and enhances the perception of quality.

This watch is not a robust sports watch but rather a clean, elegant, and classy everyday watch. It is quite small and neat, which makes it popular amongst people who have small wrists, or a preference for smaller watches. In many cases, smaller watches are more appropriate for dressed-up occasions, and this is why this watch leans more towards an elegant dress watch rather than robust sports watch. But the good news is that it is somewhere in between, which means a perfect everyday watch suitable for most occasions. Seiko 5 SNK793 caseThe metal bracelet that is on has a deployant clasp featuring a dual-side button release which makes taking it on and off a breeze. Seiko 5 SNK793 Specifications

The Seiko 5 SNK795 comes fitted on a stainless steel bracelet. When it comes to affordable watches, the bracelet is often the part that is compromised with the most, and this is also the case here. The bracelet looks quite good and fits well into the design of the watch but the downside is that it feels rattly and hollow. The bracelet is very light and flimsy. This doesn’t come as a surprise at this price point, but the good news is that this watch looks great on other straps as well such as NATO straps. If you want to dress the watch up, it also looks great on a leather strap.

Seiko Date Finder

The hands are clean and simple and shaped like swords. The minute and hour hands have lumina on them for luminosity. Each 5-minute marking also has dots of luminova. It also has a white seconds hand. Quite basic and not much to say about it. One thing many aficionados love the most about Seiko is its affordability. Or should I say, a portfolio of timepieces available at different price points? Because of that, Seiko watches cater to folks with different budgets and anyone can fashion a brilliant-looking and reliable timekeeper.

This model runs on automatic movement. In fact, it’s the very same Seiko caliber as the one used in the first timepiece on the list.

Accessories

An issue with the bracelet is that it has hollow end links and uses folded metal plates. Specifications

The included Seiko SNK793 bracelet is definitely the worst part of this watch. The pressed metal links are very light and the whole bracelet is very jangly. The bracelet jangling is clearly audible when I wear it throughout the day. In 2020, Seiko incorporated the 5 Sports series into the Seiko 5 collection. The collection thus comprises the Sports, Suits, Street, Specialist, and Sense series in addition to classic Seiko 5 models. While the Sports line mostly offers diving and pilot's watches, you'll find some colorful, stainless steel diving watches in the Suits line as well. The Seiko Sense and Street series are home to playful, multicolored designs. Lastly, the Specialist line features diving watches made of stainless steel, some of which have a bronze or golden exterior. Similar to the first timepiece on the list, this one also comes with a case size fitting all types of wrists. Measuring 38mm in diameter, it’s perfectly suitable for both men and women. Because of the presence of the brown leather strap that blends so nicely with the rose gold-coated stainless steel case, it’s arguably the most elegant timepiece on the list. The good news, however, is that if you want, you can easily change the strap. Plus, if you do decide to wear the bracelet, visually, it doesn’t look that bad. A list of best Seiko watches wouldn’t feel complete without a good, old, all-stainless steel model. The dial has applied rectangular metal markers with a luminous dot sitting at the edge towards the edge of the dial. If there is a SNK795K1 or SNK795P1 it is made elsewhere in Asia, does not say "Made in Japan" on the dial and is more likely to have Spanish as the second language for the day.
