His cyclopean buildings and colossal structures are less extreme (and less the main character) than in his earlier Blame! If you think that Japanese manga is all cyberpunk action on motorcycles, with big explosions and heavy violence, then Biomega is not going to change that view. In Tsutomu Nihei's nightmare vision of the future, the N5S virus has swept across the Earth, turning most of the population into zombie-like drones. He is a synthetic human created by Toha Heavy Industries, and is on a mission to find humans that have adapted to the N5S virus. The scientist loved Reload, so he created a modified clone of himself that was immortal and compatible with Reload. He has also shown impressive agility, dodging a fully charged Gravitational Round Emission, and destroying multiple "War-Engines" (large battle mecha with enormous destructive capability) in a single battle.There's a special snowflake that got infected and didn't go the Romero way, but instead got gifted with (among others) the power of regenerating her limbs. On top of that, the manga doesn’t even seem to even attempt to give characters background, properly flesh out their motivations, or anything like that would help the reader get invested in them.

She was found on earth about 700 years before the beginning of the story, then being already 300 years old. These highly personal manifestations allow BioMega to stand out amongst its thematical peers and predecessors whose markets (while far from stale) are becoming increasingly oversaturated: Zombies and Manga.They are trying to find all existing humans who have adapted to the N5S virus to use them to create their own immortals. Nihei is the master of space, scale, and conveying enormity within the confines of the small comics page. is better: at least, the conception of The City megastructure is, like Niven's Ring, a resonant idea, and the greater obscurity of _Blame!
