I like Pleasures [original flavour, haven't smelt the endless flankers] and love Beautiful [body lotion especially] and other non-EL blousy bouquets [Amarige, Poeme] so fearful of florals I am not.

I'm not sure if it was just a vintage formulation (I used the raindrop bottle that has the rainbow glass colors), but if you are migraine prone, maybe try a current formulation or avoid entirely.

It is so abstract I cannot detect any of the individual notes but there is a skin-alike quality that on the right person would be amazing, I reckon. Even after the 100s of perfumes I have tested and wore over the years this is still one of the most beautiful perfumes I have ever smelled.

It's still a fragrance that could easily be worn now, and does not feel dated compared to other 90's aquatic scents.Unfortunately both of them have that rancid smell, but I can still smell what made me fall in love with this as a child. It’s not a fragrance that is “me,” (at all), but when I sniff it I just know it’s masterfully created. If I do have a reservation, perhaps a little too sweet and artificial, so a little overpowering for every day. Beyond Paradise unfolds on your skin with a fascinating blend of tropical wetness, zesty freshness, and bursting floralcy. I still remember the very first time I smelled it on a perfumed magazine page one of my friends brought to school.

Old Herbaceous: Given that my first impression is of exotic flowers growing in a conservatory, I think my nose is actually picking up on “Eden’s Mist”. The clear blue of the ocean , the colorful coral popping through the rippling tiny waves of smooth coastal pacific ocean just engulfed me.I felt awed and out of place but nevertheless made my way to the Estee Lauder counter regardless, and traded my card for a pretty light blue velvet pouch the sales assistant handed over with a smile. The bottle that I sampled was a previously unopened vintage spray formulation, concentration unknown. Who knows but im a savvy lady who knows her high end perfumes and this is a poor interpretation of a once wonderful perfume.
