About this deal

Clarification: this post and piece is about vintage Fracas, both the very original versions and late 1990s Fracas, not the horribly mangled, modern reformulations. I enjoyed wearing this fragrance and am personally in awe of Fracas for women; yet sadly, I have to agree with AliceBowie that the packaging and mechanism of the bottle could be improved. Stewart has never been wrong (we still have our FREE MARTHA t-shirts); Fracas is awesome and its story is almost as good as the smell. hugsss back dear 😀 you will laugh hard if i tell you … last night me and my friend ( radhu as i address her ) were on convo. The fresh citrus burst is the equal to aldehydes with a very sweet and strong effect, fruity and zesty; somewhat shampoo-y but very pleasant.

This definitely checked all my boxes for a heavy white floral, but importantly I don't find this cloying in any way. But I loved the idea of someone being so intoxicated with the scent that they were driven to steal that wonderful scent, and I didn’t begrudge her. They made every attempt to release a version of Fracas that was close to the original in terms of notes and appearance. In the old transparent bottle produced by "Alfin/Orinter" the tuberose is literally surrounded by a "buttery" aura.Today, it is one of the most frequently-used floral notes in perfume, populating perfumes ranging from the bombastic Dior Poison to muted designer gem Gucci Bloom, but Fracas is the original and perhaps the most famous. Looking at the list of fragrances in the This Reminds me section, I didn't see Kor's listed which is a surprise, because this reminds me of that more than any of the other fragrances listed there. I’m a bit confused as to what you meant when you said, “I just read what is the difference between the fragrances? Tuberose is king throughout, present from the very beginning, but bolstered nicely by the other notes. My mother bought a bottle about 3 years ago which had very watery levels of florals but so much of the blasted clean, white musk (which I personally loathe as a perfume note) that I actually blinked.

Then, one day, in 1998, I was living in the San Francisco Bay Area when I heard that Fracas was back. There is a rich woodiness to the base at the later stages, providing a nice counterpoint to the bouquet, grounding it nicely. With unmistakable and unrivaled opulent tuberose and jasmine accords, this lush and creamy concoction clings to a woman’s skin and warms with her unique chemistry. Dear Kafka, I just read your Jour Ensoleille review, which then led me here to this phenomenal and beautiful tribute to Fracas! The base notes allegedly include vetiver, cedar, oakmoss, and sandalwood but there is no respite in the form of any of these drier scents. There were exciting and often turbulent things going on, new things to explore, and make-believe adventures to be had. The coveted jewel in the crown of Piguet’s glittering collection, 1948 game-changer Fracas, is a long-time trendsetter. You have the perfect approach towards the masculine/feminine thing and about how it is really a fake construct that doesn’t or shouldn’t apply.

They must be doing something right, because Equipage is the only one that I didn’t like (and I seriously thought I’d love it, actually!Since you’re in India and can’t get these samples delivered to you within a week the way I can in the US, I would recommend trying out larger sizes to make the time and wait worth your while. The fragrance was not the same, the power was not there, it was like a watery ghost of the fragrance I have loved for many years.
