Signed by Cass and Hewel, with the original fake library pouch~~VG+/VG 1st ed 2006 hardback, unclipped DJ. If it won't get re-published (which I hope it will) with the addition of Plastic Beach story this may turn into quite the collectors artifact! With track by track analyses of their two albums, all of their performances, and even a section on why '23' pops up so much, this is a must have book for all REAL Gorillaz fans.

Rise of the Ogre is an autobiography about the virtual band Gorillaz, ostensibly written by the four band-members in collaboration with (actual) Gorillaz musician and official scribe Cass Browne. surface tear to lower front edge of DJ, a little surface rubbing wear and discoloration to edge and top of spine of DJ, some rubbing and light scratches to jacket, internally VG and unmarked. At the front of the book, there is a ‘Demon Disclaimer’ stating the information is not all true, ‘especially the stuff Murdoc says’. Featuring brand new art from and designed by Jamie Hewlett, this is the full story of Murdoc, 2-D, Noodle and Russel Hobbs for the first time. Small lower rear corner tear to jacket with small nick also to top front corner of DJ spine, light rubbing to DJ and usage only, internally VG+ and unmarked. Very well-preserved, light wear to jacket edges and corners a little bumped due to storage otherwise VG bright and unmarked. As far as I can tell, this at least gets all the content right, even if the experience of leafing through that beautiful hardcover is lost.

It covers the band from 2000 and their first EP, Tomorrow Comes Today through their 2006 tour ending at the Apollo Theater. Thank you for preserving this excellent book - I have many great memories of checking this out from the library in high school over and over again and using it to piece together the lore behind a band I loved. It contains previously unknown secrets of the band, such as future plans of the movie, new and rare art by Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett, the "low down" on Kong Studios, their headquarters, and the story of the truth behind the " El Mañana" video. My only wish is that they would release the book with added info, since Plastic Beach came out afterwards.Bits like this help you enjoy this book twice as much as if you would only see it as one or the other. You discover so many things about the band through a funny, well-written story and the illustrations are fabulous. By using the Web site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions.

However, the audiobook remains incomplete, as only the first few chapters of the book were ever narrated. While I know most of the "real" background info on them, I much rather prefer to believe them as real people.More Hamburger icon An icon used to represent a menu that can be toggled by interacting with this icon. I bought a used version a whole 7 years after it was published for a total of 28 pounds which is a bargain considered this book sells for more than 70 in some instances.
