In terms of packaging, the bottle design is straightforward and elegant, but it does not have any striking features that would differentiate it from other fragrances. I get the cherry/almond combo but the aromatics from the lavender helps tone it down and the tonka bean, vanilla and sandalwood help give it a smooth sweetness. I'm ready to go the extra mile to desensitize myself so that I can love L'Homme Ideal as I was meant to, as we all are meant to. To top it all off, the bottle is a classy glass bottle, shaped similarly to BDC and the effortless spray through the atomiser is an alluring experience in itself.

The orange blossom top note already proposes an elegant sweet ambiance and participates in the sweet accord together with the tonka and almond notes. To a point where i don't want to smell it, i don't know if its just me but the cherry note became very annoying after a while, and it had me reaching towards my old signature scents.That's really upsetting considering it costs more than the Guerlain L'homme Ideal Cologne and I get way better performance from that with fewer sprays. I wouldn’t dare spray this in the summer, and even in fall (for which this is a very appropriate scent) I find this performs best in temperature-controlled environments.

About the smell to me is darker than extreme with leather in front , I don't get any cherry or vanilla at all. My only complaint with the new bottle design is the fact that the atomiser is not as good as it used to be, on the older bottles which allowed the user to control how much they want to spray which is a bit of a let down. Just joking, but this is nothing like Bentley intense men or Dior homme, this is an extremely well blended fragrance very very smooth, just the right dose of sweetness, almond, cherry, leather, exceptionally well blend. There's no sign of the leather until a bit later on when it dries down, but once it does come through it's a joy to get a whiff of it.After a disappointing 3 days of testing fragrances nothing really stood out to me in a major way until I tried this one again at Charles De Gaulle Airport. Of the line, this is my least favourite (and the new silver bottled flanker is superfluous in my opinion). It has a crisp, woody, bitter citrus sharpness to counterbalance the sweet almond and other creamy notes.
