If there’s anyone who still yearns for London to leave the UK, Eliot and Lloyd-Rose show that the idea is not without its historical precedent. Dragan provided us with lots of thoughtful and poignant information, but always in a way that was friendly and accessible.

Born out of a frankly eccentric map magazine published a few years ago, the authors decided to expand their wealth of knowledge into a book so large it might as well be described as a tome. Interesting, wacky, surreal, and little known facts fill this huge book with hours of interesting reading. I especially liked their inclusion of figures and locales from the literary, music, and queer populations, while largely avoiding the taint of celebrity stalking. We will usually only inspect a provider on the Childcare Register once in any 12-month period unless we receive concerns. The work [the authors] have put into it is formidable, the collaboration they have won from contributors, illustrators and publishers quite breathtaking.

At the heart of each chapter is a hand-drawn map, charting everything from thecity's islands and underground spaces, to its erogenous zones and dystopian futures.

Some chapters I could take or leave (sports, uck), but the authors covered almost everything that one could hope for in an alternative travel guide masquerading as a coffee table art book. Another example: since 2008, the father and son-founded, budding dominion of Austenasia, composed of a handful of terrace houses not far from Croydon Ikea, has been making its own bid for freedom, if so far only obtaining recognition from a no less eccentric micronation in Manitoba.I loved the page on cockney rhyming slang, it was more like half a page and would have liked this to be more like a whole section. They will also consider your child’s holistic developmental needs and ensure the activity plans and care routines reflect these needs. Even so, I’m tempted to chuck them all out because all this information and more can be found in Curiocity. If your child is absent for any reason, and unable to attend nursery, please inform the nursery on all occasions. If it is a minor problem, we may advise you to make an appointment at the doctors or to pop in to take a look or just inform you of the situation so you are aware.

This might be confusing to start with, especially if your child is accustomed to spending much of their time with you. The book is attractive to look through, I expect others may have a more enjoyable read with this than I did, several reviewers have rated this highly.

We want to lay the foundations of their love of education, to inspire them to want to find out more and enjoy the process of learning.
