She was the reason I fell in love with reading to begin with and that will make me grateful to her but she has become an absolute mockery of her previous self. This book is quite long and I actually found myself so highly engaged that I could not stop reading. Now, having said all that, these are few of the reasons why I love Nora Roberts' books in general and why you should read this one in particular. We are—well, ask Bigfoot, as Brooks does in this delightful yarn, following on his bestseller World War Z (2006).

We learn about Kate’s possibly stalling career and Leo’s plan to apply to acting schools against his mother’s wishes. While the pacing isn’t as brisk as some romantic suspense novels, the author did a great job of building suspense throughout the story and I enjoyed the journey. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. She was surrounded by love and comfort, but more than that, she was given a foundation to truly begin again. The intricate web of secrets and suspense kept me guessing until the final moments, and the satisfying resolution tied everything together seamlessly. This book kind of has that feel - Morgan is just living her life when something horrible happens to her and the story becomes how she picks up her life in spite of this awful event (this is a theme that Nora Roberts has written in the past, and each time it's always slightly different and unique, which I love).

Her friend and roommate Nina helps her make the mortgage payments, as does Morgan's job as a bartender. But it all shatters when the handsome IT expert Luke Hudson inserts himself into her life, leaving death, destruction and heartbreak in his wake.Strong threads of family, friendship, love, loss, grief and resilience are strong and flawlessly woven throughout. These characters, as well as several others in the novel, are well defined with depth and complex traits. Maybe, but the sasquatches whom the volcano displaced contributed to the statistics, too, if only out of self-defense. An identity theft was portrayed exceptionally well as too the devastating aftermath, however the story then seemed to deteriorate, with the ending happening to quickly after all the suspense.

You just keep rooting for her and wanting for her to make it out of the nightmare she ends up living through. IDENTITY by Nora Roberts is a perfectly balanced romantic suspense that I read straight through in one sitting. He'll bide his time, whilst keeping tabs on the one that got away, and he will not be satisfied, until she gets whats coming to her. This book is phenomenal, the little touches she is so good at really stick, like the loan shark bit, I keep thinking about it and smiling, pure unadulterated genius!

The story centers around Morgan rebuilding her life in her old home with her mother and grandmother as she settles into a new romantic relationship with Miles Jameson. It always used to drive me crazy when romance books had the hero and heroine fall for each other in like a week and then pivot to an epilogue like 3 months later and the heroine is pregnant. Morgan comes home from work to discover her home robbed, her car gone and her roommate dead on the floor of her office.Morgan Albright, portrayed by January LaVoy, has finally made a life for herself in Baltimore with her roommate, Nina. Nina, the tenacious and resilient protagonist, is a testament to Roberts' skill in creating strong and relatable female characters. The two decide to host a dinner party, and Morgan invites the new mysterious guy she's been chatting up at the bar. Second, Nora Roberts just seems to know how to craft the scene and weave details of everyday life into a fascinating story.
