For fans who enjoyed the ferocity of Ember in the Ashes, INCENDIARY explores the double-edged sword of memory and the triumph of hope and love in the midst of fear and oppression. The deep dive into the palace, rulers, and secrets was most interesting and I feel most thought out. The only irritations I faced from the start was the main character, Ren(ata) who was one of those characters that is annoying with her "poor me, I'm such a terrible person and deserve no love or happiness - but I'm not going to do much about that other than wallow in my own pitty". I was so gripped by the voice of your heroine and the tale she told, I would spend much of each day following an evening’s read just bringing it all back to life in my head and trying to really feel the tragedy, horror, and sadness of the situation. I have been walking around my house with your book in my hand afraid to keep reading it and fearful that I won’t have the guts to finish it.

In the Kingdom of Moira, people with magic are hunted down especially people with dangerous abilities like Ren. Certainly, this bombshell could not be as easily suppressed as he does in the novel (and the betrayal that goes along with it is also pretty pathetic).

Córdova builds up action in subtle moments in the background, but her focus is always on our complex and intriguing heroine, who I am excited to see grow even more in the sequel. Ren might hold the memories of hundreds of others, but she has lost so many of her own, hidden within the Grey that blocks her from her past.

Especially after finishing “Incendiary”, just about one hour ago on a rainy gray day, I feel so angry that the world is not an even playing field for all it’s people. I am half way through it and really enjoying it, the death of Osama bin laden on May day has proved slightly eerie in relation to the book.There are several actions that could trigger this block including submitting a certain word or phrase, a SQL command or malformed data.
