I absolutely loved the tropes used in this book, and it was refreshing to see how different it was from other books written by her. With a crucial CEO vote looming and a media empire at stake, the billionaire heir can't afford the distraction she brings. However, the cover also tells me that this book is the second in a King of Sin series and when I began reading about a conversation which included strawberry flavoured and glow in the dark condoms, I dropped all thought of it being about lions. There was a moment in the book where I thought they will go towards the miscommunication trope about something big happening to Isabella.They navigated through their friendship and then their relationship with accepting their differences and finding some commun points. Tiptoed out of her confort zone and painted a surprising and somehow refreshing healthy relationship lacking her usual penchant for lies, trahisons and people being killed left and right. I loved how ana not only showed her joyful side but she also portrayed her insecurities and fears so well.

its (sorta) friends to lovers between them, and the only threat to their relationship is all external, meaning: (1) Kais mother doesnt approve of Isa; (2) theyre under scrutiny of cheap tabloids because theyre from different backgrounds. even more infuriating is the fact that i didnt learn my lesson and will keep coming back for more AH content in the future.I love when there’s a cold hero and the heroine is the only one who warms him and brings him to life. Kai and Isabella balance each other perfectly, and Kai is sooo good to Isabella, treating her like a QUEEN. So she agreed to his terms - not knowing that doing so would cost her a lot more than money and a kiss. But what happens when they give into their desires and find that they could be better together than they previously thought?
