About this deal

You will find it will easy to decode your radio RF signal in low BER%, but if your radio have big frequency offset, it will hard to decode voice and data in your Digital radio. Beacon – Turn on (1) or off (0) beacon or a transmission that happens every so many minutes/hours to tell others your repeater exists.

Key up and test it: Once pi-star is configured, go to the dashboard and plug your radio(s) into the MMDVM, making sure you have a dummy load or an antenna plugged in.I wanted a hotspot for ages as I have had the use of Waynes Tytera MD380 DMR radio and more recently the amazing Ailunce HD1! Pick a 2-meter or 70cm simplex frequency to communicate with your hotspot—70cm is generally preferred because it’s less crowded.

There is a lot of experimentation and evolution going on with hotspots and DV networks, and it takes some effort to keep up. I found that if I wait about a minute or two after the display shows the IP address, then go to the displayed IP address in a web browser, the PiStar dashboard appears as it should. My hotspot shipped with almost everything pre-configured including the settings for the OLED display. I’ve tried the “parrot” channel and then I heard the Italia Channel and I’ve done a radio check with the Canadian channel. Hey all So I am helping a friend design/create a digital repeater (primarily for the DMR mode) to be used as a portable (maybe airborne) setup but have run into a radio decision snag.

You can mail the item back in the original package without any wear and tear for a free replacement. To do this, I’ve found the easiest route is to go to this page and use the utility to build a configuration file.
