About this deal

Exposure to timed practice papers will give you a realistic view of how much you’ll get through within the time frame/how long you’ll have to check back through your answers. The Professional Dilemmas Paper is a Situational Judgement Test (SJT) designed to assess your response to situations involving challenging professional dilemmas. While your previous studies and work as a junior doctor will have prepared you for some of the questions and scenarios within the MSRA, it’s advisable to allow adequate revision time for the MSRA, as you would with any other exam. These databanks in my opinion are very in depth and cover a huge spectrum of knowledge within each speciality.

Try to book your exam date and centre as soon as possible to prevent having to travel far distances and missing desired dates.Step one is to familiarise yourself with the MSRA exam format, timings and scoring and step 2 is then to practice, practice, practice. Once the application window has closed for your chosen specialty and successful candidates have been longlisted, you’ll be invited to register with Pearson VUE and book your MSRA, if you meet the eligibility criteria outlined during the application process.

I have been invited to interview and I know I would not have done as I did in the MSRA without the emedica questions and crammer course. After sitting the exam, it was apparent that Emedica is the most representative out of all the MSRA question banks that I have encountered - this is in terms of question style, exam format, and areas of knowledge tested. Completing a combination of practice questions and full practice exams during your revision for the MSRA will help you to fully prepare for the exam.

Includes access to over 2200+ online MSRA questions to consolidate knowledge / technique + 3 further full clinical mocks, and a full SJT mock exam for the duration of the subscription.

So if you're sitting the MSRA in January start revising in November and if you're sitting it same recruitment year, in September get going in July. However, the timing of the MSRA registration invitations may vary depending on the shortlisting schedule, which could influence the test center availability at the time of your registration. Often specialties scale MSRA scores, rather than use raw marks, but again this varies between specialties.

The Clinical Problem Solving Paper is designed to assess your ability to apply your clinical knowledge and make clinical decisions within the context of everyday practice. I would like to thank you for your excellent presentation (I followed the webinar in Birmingham) on the MSRA; the Professional Dilemmas section was particularly helpful in demystifying the questions and giving us a framework for answering. The most important thing to remember is not to underestimate the MSRA and to prepare fully to give yourself the best possible chance of scoring highly on the exam. MSRA stands for Multi-Specialty Recruitment Assessment (MSRA) and it's a 3-hour computer-based exam that is used as part of selection into post-graduate specialty training. The MSRA was created to assess those with a foundation level of medical competence with the clinical questions based on the Foundation Programme curriculum and the situational judgement questions based on the Generic Professional Capabilities framework outlined by the GMC.
