Acqua Di Gio actually smells like sparkling, tangy fruit; sort of like a fruity shower gel or shampoo, there are some very prominent green notes though from the lily of the valley (which is probably what gives it a shower gel/clean quality), the banana leaf and the hyacinth. Pink pepper is one of my favorite notes in fragrances and unfortunately i don't smell any pink pepper in this. It’s so fresh, like you just stepped out of the shower but it’s also mouthwatering, refreshing, icy and cool like the other reviews have said - which makes it perfect for spring and summer. It has a nice refreshing and clean smell, it's a bit on the lighter side and the smell is not too overpowering or intense so it's suitable for everyday wear, but I would not recommend wearing this regularly considering its very expensive.

I love a good mint, it is one of my weaknesses in perfumes, same story with jasmine and this is a beautiful blend of both. It was created for women with a gentle nature, who like floral solutions that bring their aromas to the bosom of nature.First I thought this was the perfect clean girl perfume but after I've been wearing this I think otherwise, I want to think I got a bad batch but after I let it sit it gives me nausea and the smell is anything but pleasant and especially if you overspray this, which you kinda have to because it disapears quickly. Perhaps my skin chemistry has changed or maybe I received a reformulated version, because this just doesn’t do it for me anymore and that makes me sad!

My mom was gifted a bottle and I stole it :D I don't smell the mint as herbal or peppermint, but it's more of a feeling, that super refreshing cooling feeling that mint gives a drink on a hot day.I tested this as mini bottle from a giftset and the experience is not really the same without the atomizer, so it’s a bit difficult to say something about the silage. I also tend to get headaches from jasmine but it's very light here so white floral haters will still probably enjoy this fragrance. The first hour or so I could only smell lemons and sugar (I swear I thought I smelled like a lemonade) but everyone else said it smelled great on me (this is a recurring theme for me when it comes to perfume, somehow I'm not smelling the same thing as everyone else). I'm late to the Acqua Di Gio party, and did actually confuse Acqua Di Gioia for a rebottled version of this, Gioia and Gio both carry the same "humid" aquatic vibe, if you've ever been caught in a rain storm during the height of summer, you'll know what I mean, its a totally different feeling compared to the usual aquatic, in the sea type fragrances.

Instantly it reminded me of Giorgio Beverly Hills Aire, except this one is not as heavy on the lily-of-the-valley note, and there is a proper kick of vodka - so I`ve learned - and also calone, a bit of peony and woods also, but yet I think the vodka and LOTV runs the show here. It is not loud and obnoxious so is a great choice when you want something unobtrusive that is fresh and clean. Imagine having the best day at the beach, sipping mojitos with your besties, going home and taking a shower, and climbing into silk sheets. Opening with a burst of zesty green mandarin, this fragrance immediately transports you to a sun-drenched paradise.It was so strong back then that it gave me a near-instant headache and I hadn’t tried it again until receiving a sample vial in a sample bundle I bought just recently, 12 years later. Super light clean fresh dry down BUT it becomes a skin scent on me within an hour so that's not a very good value and I won't bother to purchase it again.
