About this deal

Contrast ratio is the visual distance between the lightest and the darkest colors that may be reproduced on the display. This is a feature not all monitors of this type provide, and it’s an ideal arrangement if you want to use it in a PC-centric home theater.

Fine detail is preserved when panning a camera in a 3D game and small objects are easy to track when moving across the scene. When blacks are shown, they are true black and highlight everything that’s around them all the more. Gamer-centric Design Thanks to the side stand and ultra-slim design, it creates an optimized gaming environment by providing space utilization and ease of secure visibility in every place you want to play like the living room, gaming room, or other spaces. This may seem surprising for a 4K monitor, but the 4K 48-inch panel works out to only 91 pixels per inch. Thanks to the inclusion of DisplayPort, it also supports the maximum refresh rate over either connection. It’s easy and intuitive to navigate using the included remote, but can be downright confusing using the button built into the monitor.

The matte anti-reflective coating significantly reduces the intensity of direct reflections, so they're much less distracting than they are on the Sony 42 A90K OLED. Aside from LG's first OLED display made for gamers, there are also 4K Nano IPS and QHD Nano IPS monitors to choose from. I played through the entirety of Spider-Man on the PlayStation 5 on a big, 65-inch, 1000-nit HDR screen and it never looked remotely as good as it does on the 48GQ900. The introduction of large, OLED gaming monitors begs an interesting question: What makes a gaming monitor, a monitor? Also using secondary monitor next to 42" display requires less neck movement as opposed to 48" so C2 makes more sense for dual monitor setup. Although the massive size was incredible in Marvel’s Spider-Man and cinematic adventures like Elden Ring, it’s a bit tough to manage in keyboard and mouse-focused games like Destiny 2 and Cyberpunk 2077. Without installing a separate software, you can see your Frames Per Second (FPS) in games by displaying it in the corner of the screen. On C2, you can disable ASBL in service mode whereas you cannot in 48GQ900, although this isn't a huge deal breaker when you can just use animated wallpaper. OLED is the current reigning king of display technology, so it was only a matter of time before we saw the technology make its way into gaming monitors.

There’s a black stabilizer option that can be adjusted to allow you to more clearly see into the shadows in games, several on-screen crosshairs to choose from, and an FPS counter that can bypass any overlay restrictions a game may apply. Gaming features: AMD FreeSync, Black Stabiliser and Dynamic Action Sync (DAS) offer crucial benefits in the game. It has a multifunction power button along the bottom edge that can be held and tapped to navigate the menu, but LG has also included a unique remote control that doubles as a volume knob when the OSD is closed. Brightness can ramp up to more than 400 nits in a 10 percent window (in other words, when only 10 percent of the display panel is lit).LG includes modes for FPS and RTS games, a Vivid color mode, a blue-light reducing Reader mode, an HDR Effect mode, an sRGB mode, and two pre-calibrated modes.
