Mazzara’s lines are super clean, the panel compositions are diverse enough to add visual interest to the pages, and the coloring is phenomenal. Overall the multiple years of hype and a backstory that didn't add a lot in terms of story progression hurt my enjoyment. You will notice a lack of backgrounds in several panels, but Mazzara fills the panels so well with figures in motion that the lack of backgrounds doesn’t take away from the overall look of the issue.

I’m always a fan of McQueen’s long books because I never want them to end, but no matter how long or short she never disappoints! I understand that you've been going for the ringer but Jayne and Hadrian deserved a little more maybe a tad more backstory Jane is an intrical part of all the books from the nyk all the way to bastion's book.

Jayne is The League fandom's fave badass woman, the original and from a feministic, matriarchal society to book.

Before I start, the required disclosure: I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review (I love when I get to read my favorite author's books early:-)). Kudos to McQueen (Kenyon) for giving us another story that pulls us away from all we need to escape while giving us a clear view on what matters most. And all since Nero's is currently slated to be up next and I cant imagine Trajen being to far out in the lineup I'm glad we got a look into these characters even if I wish the plot had more substance to the world.

The Chronicles of Nick(R) and Dark-Hunter(R) series are soon to be major motion pictures while Dark-Hunter(R), Lords of Avalon(R) and The League(R) are being developed for television. Throughout the issue, Giaris remembers an unsettling game of Hide-and-Seek she played as a child, a game that ended in a painful memory involving her father.
