I LOVE this perfume and had been wanting to find a fragrance with fresh ginger root, rather than something that smells like spicy gingerbread. Tried this on at Macy's and at first sniff, I scrunched my nose in dislike from the very strong citrus (bergamot) opening. I am a huge fan of the Bvlgari house and Mr Alberto Morillas also being one of my Fav Nose,despite all this said, this scent and the only scent of the Bvlgari house really did not resonate well with me,sure its a well made scent, fresh and spicy, but i think its that fuzzy ginger and cardamom top that really gets to me ,i really tried to enjoy this but the top was too much for me.I strongly agree with you, because I purchased it 3 years ago and the performance was horrible on my dry skin, so I convinced a friend of mine to try it and he has a normal skin, once again the performance was a thumbs down. To top that off, I'm normally not a big fan of spicy fragrances, but this one managed to be one of my top 5. Its none intrusive and i wear just one spray on the upper chest under work attire (i work in an office so i cannot be too offensive). Although, it smells to me very close to the classic too "KOUROS",soap powder are in the paramount importance in this parfume with a balance of freshness, spiciness and sweetness as the time goes by. At first the ginger and bergamot are really refreshing, but it quickly mellows out and I really like this comforting scent.The projection can be increased if more sprays are applied but it is a moderate scent and also I get maybe 7-8 hours on clothes. I am a jasmine lover, so a toned down jasmine is certainly wearable, even if this doesn't sing elegantly as a beautiful jasmine does.
