About this deal

It was an obviously well-made woody floral musk fragrance: clean and fresh without the tsunami of calone most newer men's scents of that era contained. Created by Jacques Cavallier, master perfumer, you won’t find the abrasive elements of the ‘modern’ synthetic smelling scents from Bvlgari. Longevity is great -- beyond 12 hours on my skin -- and it stays close to the skin after about eight hours. Definitely smells better than I remember and does have something that makes it stand out a little more from the rest of the other standard men's aquatic scents, probably the ginger.

Ginger’s one of them where if you ain’t careful with it you can turn anythin’ into the least talented Spice Girl. I've got many compliments with this fragrance so this is my fragrance to kill when it comes to daytime. The deep blue color perfectly represents the scent, this is a deep soapy spicy fragrance that is just sexy and doesnt try too hard. I understand the reference to Fahrenheit that Morkant mentions, is it the combination of lavender and spice? A harmonizing fragrance, Bulgari Pour Homme brings you the wonders of nature, and makes you feel at home no matter how far you travel.Who do I recommend this for: someone who has to wear a suit or uniform but finds their own rebellious ways to inject a hint of personality (colorful socks, or unique cufflinks) to avoid blending in entirely with their coworkers but doesn't want to be the "tall nail".

Im sure it's not easy to make fresh citrus notes extend out in to the middle to the end of the drydown so this fragrance had my curiosity. I repeat, it won't make you smell macho, or a playa, or smooth or whatever adjectives millennials can think of describing a playboy or whatnot. Although tea is listed as the most prominent note in the survey above, the tea note here is very light and blends in with a lot of the other notes. Pour Homme is instantly a very pleasing fresh musky citrus and aldehydes, then a growing tea which is the theme of the perfume. Opens up very bright with prominent ginger but eventually mellows down to a more intimate tobacco woody scent.

Top notes are Tea, Aldehydes, Bergamot, Lavender, Nutmeg Flower, Orange Blossom and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Pepper, Iris, Guaiac Wood, Brazilian Rosewood, Coriander, Geranium, Cyclamen, Cardamom and Carnation; base notes are Musk, Vetiver, Cedar, Oakmoss, Amber and Tonka Bean. The unique piquant note is the tea, as Jacques Cavallier's compositions all seem to have that one distinct note.
