I would consider this book for an advanced level however I know all the embroidery stitches in the stitch glossary and how to build the picture is very clearly explained. The only downside is that all the birds are Australian natives, which I feel could be reflected in the title as I assumed that coming from a UK publisher - would feature British birds. It gives you a sense of placement, size, variety, texture – and how to see it all together in one view.
