Fortaleza Anejo is full of caramel, vanilla and butterscotch aromas backed up with the smell of cooked agave. Guillermo Sauza launched Fortaleza in 2005 and has become one of the most famous tequilas around the world. Launched in 2005, Fortaleza Tequila is relatively new to the industry but has 140 years of history behind the brand, with the current owner's great-great-grandfather, Don Cenobio, founding his first distillery – La Perseverancia – in 1873. Presented in a hand-blown Mexican glass bottle, it features a hand-made stopper shaped like agave pinas for a full experience from the moment you open it. Using 150-year-old methods and traditional equipment, the agaves are slowly cooked in a brick oven over 2 days.
