This complex comic makes readers feel as if they too have boarded a space arc following the heat death of the universe. Sebastian, another person on the ship, has wrecked the computer that has been an important part of the Orpheus. Cady’s narration really bolsters the mood throughout, with a number of excellent lines, including That’s what the Orpheus feels like—humanity’s perfect tomb, outwitting the end of all things, the ultimate habitat. I wasn't too enthused about the horror movie angle this first volume went for, but it gets us to a place that might develop into something interesting. The eventual 5 part miniseries titled Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness - The Beginning was pushed back to 8 March 2022, and then to September 2022 but is delayed again with its final release date being December 21, 2022.

I don't want to give too much away about the plot because it doesn't necessarily go the way you think it will, but it starts out as a fairly standard 'murder on a space ship' kind of thing and then turns into more of a study on the nature of mankind. Still, flawed though it all is I was dragged greedily through the issues by the strong ideas and doom laden atmosphere.

This story could've done with a slower build-up of dread, but I'm not sure you can afford to do that in a single issue series. Coloring between the lines, however, this was enough of a fun ride that I’ll hold on for book 3, out Tuesday, … although I might wait for a sale.

With hints pointing towards China, Leon, Shen May, and Jason, the hero of Penamstan, are dispatched with a submarine for a covert mission.Shen May's grandfather later brought him to China and the Mad Dogs worked as Wilson's private military force to keep being supplied with medication to stop their own infection from breaking out. So yes, while it certainly looks like no fun to be aboard the Orpheus, as a reader I’m signing up for the long haul.
