Description

Plus, you can use it for practice both indoors and outdoors. Ideally, I would recommend using outside so you have enough distance to set up the device and can see your ball flight. The measuring range works up to 370 yards. Is there a warranty for the SC300? The SC300 is a standalone device from Voice Caddie, but you can sync it with their app as well (for both iPhone and Android users). Multiple Modes Using the Doppler radar technology, you can use this device in two different modes, including: Practice Mode While it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of the SC300, it still has tons of great features to help improve your game. It’s also a nice upgrade from the SC100 if you used it in the past and are ready for an upgrade. Features Easy to Use A. The SC100doesn’t have voice output and isn’t quite as accurate. The 200 doesn’t have an apex height or launch angle and doesn’t have the app.

These are the same measurements that are found in professional launch monitors, including launch angle and apex data. You get nearly as much swing data as a PGA Tour pro, without breaking the bank. And the R10 and Rapsodo can take this way further with scatterplots of every shot you hit, so you can not only see distance, but you can see if it was straight as well. Indoors, I found some significant problems with the SC300. With the high and low lofted clubs, I found the SC300 was generally operating at the far edges of error range. Particularly with wedges, it was routinely 3 MPH faster and 3-5 yards longer. When I switched to mid irons, the ball speed and distances gaps remained, but the launch angle became very erratic. I was seeing launch angles as much as 10 degrees higher than measured on the GC2. Longevity When choosing a launch monitor, it’s vital to know how much information you want the device to deliver. For some golfers, they just want basic metrics without getting overwhelmed. But for other golfers, they might want every detail imaginable.

But the launch monitor still uses 3D Doppler Radar for uncompromised precision. Since it’s on your phone too, no need for a remote control either. Everything is done inside the app. Here is a comprehensive breakdown between the SC300 vs. the SC200. Swing Caddie SC200 Launch Monitor Even if you’re a long hitter, this device will help you with every club in the bag. Using the latest in Doppler radar technology, the SC300 provides uncompromised precision wherever you’re using the device. Features These extra features make the SC300 more expensive, but provides a lot more swing details. Overall, both models are much more cost-efficient than a lot of other launch monitors on the market. Swing Caddies has two of the best launch monitors on the market. Not to mention, it has five simulated golf courses (for iOS only), 17 practice ranges for indoor use, internal camera for better alignment, and Wi-Fi hotspots for a better internet connection. The downside is that it’s also 4X the price of the Mevo and the Swing Caddie Sc300.

The difference between the SC200 and SC300 is the voice output, the launch angle, and the apex stat. The Swing Caddie SC200 uses a built-in barometric pressure sensor to instantly and automatically adjust for the extremely accurate readings. This ensures you get the most accurate results, regardless of if you’re hitting indoors or outdoors. Multiple Modes Like the SC200, the SC300 scores major points for being easy to use. Charge it up, drop is 60 inches behind the ball, and fire away. The SC300 is significantly larger than the SC200, so you can easily read the results of each shot without bending down or squinting. You can also have the device announce the numbers after each shot. But one thing the SC200 has over the SC300 is the accuracy mode. Instead of hitting 10 balls in a row at one target, the approach mode will set random distances to challenge your distance control. After each shot, it will give you swing speed, shot distance, ball speed, and a score out of 10. Get exclusive Plugged In Golf pricing HERE! Effectiveness

I originally had the previous model (SC200) for a few weeks before reading this model was coming out. I love the SC200 and the features it had on there (Practice, Target and Random) modes. I though this device was also fairly accurate when the ball was hit well. The SC300 has several new features - a dedicated mobile app that stores your data, and the addition of launch angle and apex height. As always, my goal in testing is to establish how accurate it is. Additionally, I want to help you decide whether or not it's worth spending the extra premium over the SC200, and how it compares to other products in this space. Accuracy wise, this isn’t some “fairly accurate” device either. Instead, it’s extremely accurate and should help you dial in your distances. Here are the accuracy stats provided by Voice Caddie: The SC300 struggled quite a bit on apex height. It was showing distances almost double of the SkyTrak and thought it was overestimating them too much. This could be a limitation of the unit indoors.

So, overall, pretty decent, but I do hope that Voice Caddie invest a bit of time into the App. In the few weeks I've had it, there's been a few App updates and Firmware updates to the Device also. The person who doesn’t want to spend their whole practice session in an app, and is mostly looking to get some general data to make their practice sessions more enjoyable and productive. While the accuracy is not perfect, there are plenty of positives that outweigh several of its shortcomings. I loved the addition of the app, and getting your launch angle can help golfers who know what to do with that data. Or even more so, the Mevo Plus is a paltry 90 minutes on battery power alone. Using the My Swing Caddie AppHonestly, for most of my sessions I’ve simply paired the app, set my phone down, and then not touched it. Measures Carry/Total Distance, Smash Factor, Launch Angle, Swing Speed, Apex (Max Height) & Ball Speed Thanks to the Bluetooth connection, you can now sync your data to your phone or tablet for a more immersive experience. Aside from getting the apex data, the Voice Caddie SC300 also delivers your spin rate via the Swing Caddie app. This is another important data point that can let you know if you’re hitting down on the ball. While each device in this launch monitor category has its own strengths and weaknesses, I would recommend the SC300i to the majority of golfers for its ease of use and accuracy. Besides, the last thing you need is more anger on the range… am I right? Barometric Pressure Calibration

While not everything is perfect about it, for the price, it’s really hard to beat. It’s a trusted resource of Bryson DeChambeau and Bubba Watson, so you can rest assured knowing it should help your game too.

The fact it is the same company, but using different names (with two different apps) is a bit confusing. The MLM does require the use of an iPhone or iPad to display your data. For some, this might not be a big deal, but for others, it can be a nuisance worrying about charging another battery or having your iPhone overheat in direct sunlight. The one benefit to getting something like this is that it’ll make practicemore fun, you’ll get out more, and that could possiblyhelp you improve.
