YtO starts with a crisp, fruity, airy and youthful rose (at this stage I sensed green apple more than strawberry).I have tried to give this a chance 3x because so many people I’ve talked to and on the internet rave about this. Bath and Body Works’ You’re the One fragrance can be worn in multiple ways, such as dabbing it on pulse points, spraying it in the air and walking through it, applying it on clothes or hair, and mixing it with unscented lotion for a subtler scent.

I wish this had just a bit more strawberry though (it's too soft, you almost wouldn't know it's there if you didn't know the notes); I think it would help to round out the musky/peppery notes. Usually perfumes change their smell in time on me but this one is quite similar all day long which is refreshing.I see people complain about this being too rosey occasionally, which I find surprising, because this is the sort of easy Millennial/Gen Z rose that really takes the heavy potpourri rose tones out and leaves sweetened pinkness behind. The dry down is similar to La Vie Est Belle En Rose which I also couldn't really handle because of the raspberry top notes. The only time I think a scent smells old lady is when I smell a perfume, and the wearer of said perfume happens to be older. It’s obnoxiously juvenile as it’s too sweet with the strawberry and too high pitch pathchouli fighting with strawberry in the dry down. She’ll spray it in the morning before leaving for school and she smells like she just applied it when she gets home after school.

I received this as a gift for Christmas from a friend (body spray, body wash, and lotion) and was shocked when it smelled familiar. I'm honestly not getting any wood at all, which is weird because I smelled a woody rose when I first tried it. can’t wear it on it’s own bc of this reason but it blossoms BEAUTIFULLY in the heat i'm still shocked to this day abt that. In one sense it's much deeper and richer and could easily pass for belonging to a more expensive perfume line yet on the other hand its very straight forward from beginning to end - strong red roses anchored by strawberries.
