Who doesn’t love a good love story? Especially one with a bit of mafia flair? If you’ve been scouring for the best mafia romance books, then you’ve come to the right place. On the other side, some readers caution that the book contains sensitive subject matter such as kidnapping, abduction, torture, and assault, which can be triggers for some. A few readers found certain aspects of the writing unsatisfactory, such as dialogues and pacing. The one hurdle he did not foresee was an arranged marriage with the Bratva princess Ielena “Issa” Dubova. Despite his reservations about an arranged marriage, he accepts because there is nothing he will not do to avenge his parents. This has a lot going on in the story. Some of it I’m hoping will remain a surprise to each reader as that revelation was part of the enjoyment I experienced with this story. Kage and Nat’s relationship has quite a bit of angst to it and it was just another element where this author really pulled me into the story and I found myself hurting for them both as they struggled with the situation they found themselves in.
