Balances are generally more sophisticated than scales and often used by professionals for advanced scientific weighing in laboratories, universities, medical facilities and research and development related environments. Types of balance include microbalances, analytical balance and precision balances. Berg balance scale scoring ranges from 0 to 56. The lower your score, the more at risk you are for losing your balance. In general, Berg balance scale scores are interpreted as such:
