If you fire it flat, the useful range drops to around 50ft/15m, but since the NERF darts aren’t that great aerodynamically, this is about as far as you can expect to hit anything human sized anyway! Ergonomics The Disruptor’s mechanism is pretty much identical to the Strongarm, apart from a small change to the trigger. It is so similar in fact that the Strongarm upgrade kit from Orange Modworks is reputed to work perfectly on the Disruptor, bar some filing down some areas of the trigger mechanism. The Rebelle Spylight also uses this mechanism and it works well, so we can understand why there was not much need for any changes here. The Nerf Strongarm has lots of features that make it a desirable candidate for modifications. These include an easily reloaded cylinder, slam-fire capabilities, a tactical rail on top, and a loop for carrying attachments. However, the main factor that allows the Nerf Strongarm to claim this title is the blaster’s simplicity; the blaster is easily disassembled and the internal workings are not overly complicated. This gun is a part of the Elite 2.0 series, first released in 2020. It is named Commander because it was the initial gun released in the series and can be transformed drastically with additional attachments.

I do wish they had a sling mount on this blaster, and that the tactical rail was on the top. I just feel a scope is a better attachment option than a grip. Released in 2022, the Nerf Elite 2.0 Trailblazer RD-8 has brought us an upgraded version of the Nerf revolver design. The Hammershot will always hold a special place in the hearts of Nerf lovers, but the Trailblazer has an 8-dart capacity. It also comes with 16 darts which adds some solid value. Internally, it is nearly identical to the Strongarm, so much so that the Strongarm upgrade kit from Orange Mod Works is reputed to be highly compatible with the Disruptor. Only the trigger differs, and this can be remedied by filing down appropriate areas. The Magpie is a custom 3D-printed Nerf blaster, so you can choose your own primary, secondary, and grip color. For each of these choices, there are over 20 different colors from which to choose. After completing the rear loading modification, you can then replace the spring inside your blaster to further increase your Nerf Strongarm’s power and precision. Nerf blaster spring replacements are fairly simple and can be completed in a relatively short amount of time. Get the WORKER Mod Upgrade Spring for your Nerf Strongarm here! One issue with this blaster is loading the gun can be a bit slow because you have to manually rotate the barrel to get all the darts in. Not included are the 6 AA batteries needed to power the gun, but they are easy to install in the battery tray on the side. One of my only complaints with Nerf Ultra blasters is that they will often shoot a dart wildly in a while with inconsistent accuracy. The Disruptor has a sling mount, but it is an opening in the handle rather than at the rear. The unusual sling may take some getting used to, but it’s not a major concern.

The Disruptor has a comfortable grip and fits nicely in your hand. The trigger has a really good feel and priming slide is well positioned so even in Slam Fire mode you still have a good amount of control, so your accuracy is not affected too badly. Quite clearly this has been introduced as an update to the Strongarm, but while some updated blasters are head and shoulders better than their predecessor, the Disruptor only makes a few, small changes to the tried and tested formula. I hope you enjoyed our list of the seven best Nerf revolvers in 2023. This list did not include those that have been discontinued and are now hard to find.Easy to holster, with slamfire and easy loading makes the Disruptor a solid choice as a secondary blaster. Full NERF N-Strike Elite Disruptor Review The original Nerf Strongarm can hold and fire up to 6 darts at a time. Because of the low ammunition capacity, you might find yourself reloading your blaster more frequently than you would like. However, with some unique ingenuity, you can turn your single cylinder Nerf Strongarm into a blaster with multiple cylinders. This modification can be done with anywhere between two to four cylinders. Even more impressive is that it is still the least expensive gun on the list with all that design. It also made our list of the best Nerf guns of 2023! The rotating drum holds 6 darts, which is typical for most sidearm blasters, but it’s not going to last if you go with Slam Fire mode. Range NERF brings advanced blaster technology to precision shooting, tag games and target practice. Customise your blaster with NERF Modulus, maximise your range with NERF N-Strike Elite or start a micro battle with collectible NERF MicroShots.

Now that you have an idea of how your mod will turn out, read the instructions on how to complete the mod on Nerf Haven! 12 to 24 Shot Nerf StrongarmThey dubbed this pretty color scheme the “Wild Edition,” so fingers crossed we get some more sweet versions of this blaster in the future. This flywheel blaster holds six ultra darts and slings them up to 90 feet per second, which is well above the Nerf elite average of 70. There is also a hook which you can use to fit another Disruptor’s priming slide grooves. This is a useful feature in case you want to wield dual Disruptors and prime them at the same time. With the hook, you can prime both without putting one down. Loading & Firing The mod featured below is completed on the Nerf Disruptor. However, because the internal workings of the Nerf Strongarm and Disruptor are identical, their modifications are compatible with each other. To make this mod even better, the entire modification is entirely free. The only tool you need is a screwdriver and some snippers! The internals are similar to other NERF secondary blasters, and has the same smooth operation. It has a powerful trigger but doesn’t have any recoil that will affect your hold.

Once you have installed the Orange Mod Works Kit into your Nerf Strongarm, you will not only be able to feel that your blaster performs better, but you will see your darts fly further than they ever could have before! Rear Loading StrongArm Like most other NERF spring blasters, the firing mechanism allows for regular and Slam Fire mode. If you pull the trigger once, you fire a dart. To use Slam Fire mode, simply hold the trigger down and repeatedly pull the slide. Both accuracy and range will diminish using slam mode, but it is still very cool to have as an option. The NERF Disruptor is essentially a Strongarm but with a front loading mechanism and that is no bad thing. The Magpie launches half-length darts at a velocity of 120 feet per second, which makes it one of the hardest-shooting Nerf guns on this list. This rear loading Strongarm mod is done by removing the barrel from inside the blaster and then prying the two pieces apart. The dart posts are removed, and the chambers are lightly sanded to allow darts to travel through. Besides the price, the main con of this gun is that you will have to buy a battery, darts, and a charger separately if you don’t have those. The Nerf Trailblazer has the standard pistol performance but does have an average 70 FPS dart velocity. Launch into epic battles with NERF Blasters! Choose your blaster and get ready to fire with Nerf’s aerodynamic foam darts.
