I spoke to Onyx about this issue and I'm confident it is going to fix this lag with a software update that extends the buffer. Some of the technologies we use are necessary for critical functions like security and site integrity, account authentication, security and privacy preferences, internal site usage and maintenance data, and to make the site work correctly for browsing and transactions. I contacted Boox directly to see if I can help or to get it fixed, as it is under a 12 month warranty, with the picture attached.

But first, I want to take a moment to discuss the differences between the Boox Note Air2+ and Boox Tab Ultra.

Like most e-ink tablet styluses ( other than the Supernote), it uses interchangeable plastic nibs that wear down over time and need to be replaced. The model is based on the Android 11 operating system, so the user can install different applications from Google Play which significantly expand the abilities of the device. There’s handwriting recognition, which can be used to convert your handwriting to text – in my experience, it’s not quite as accurate as the implementation on the Supernote but it is still very good.

Read more I bought this about a month ago to use alongside another well known e-ink device, and was pleasantly surprised - so much so that its now a regular part of my work/home life. It's slim, feels premium, supports loads of apps, and packs bells and whistles aplenty, not to mention a pen in the box. Anecdotally, after four days' worth of light testing with some reading, sketching, and taking notes, the 3,000mAh Note Air 2 still had 58% of its battery left. Dual-color reading frontlights, Andriod11, Qualcomm 662 processor, G-Sensor, 4GB RAM+64GB ROM, all configurations are available, it can be regarded as a cost-effective choice for a 10.The inclusion of an E-Ink display meant that I didn’t ever use this device to watch video content, despite an app being available for download. The ratings/reviews displayed here may not be representative of every listing on this page, or of every review for these listings.

However, when I last used Boox Assistant and the browser app, it was quite clunky, buggy and unintuitive.Unfortunately, it does not support ebooks that are protected with DRM, so you would have to use third-party apps rather than the native reader to view these files. The game is afoot with e-ink tablets tumbling onto the scene these last couple of years, and the latest to land at Tech Advisor for review is the Boox Note Air 2 Plus from Onyx. As someone who struggles to look at screens for too long a period, it was never glaring and ideal to use in darker environments. Nevertheless, the Note Air 2 Plus remains a great e-reader and basic tablet, although those looking for a device to watch media should opt for a tablet with a more vibrant display, such as an iPad. Therefore, after reading from the glowing screen of an ordinary tablet or smartphone, it is often difficult to fall asleep.
