Some valuable bits and pieces we know are out there are nowhere to be seen; the actual footage from Abbey Road, the demos like Roger’s early acoustic version of ‘Money’.First released as part of The Dark Side Of The Moon 50th Anniversary Box Set, this is the first time that the new mix of the classic album is available on its own in physical formats. The famous sleeve, which depicts a prism spectrum, was designed by Storm Thorgerson of Hipgnosis and drawn by George Hardie. The set also includes additional new Blu-ray disc of Atmos mix plus CD and LP of ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon – Live At Wembley Empire Pool, London, 1974’. It was originally recorded in November 1974 as part of the band’s winter tour and this is the first time it will be available as a stand-alone album, with artwork featuring an original 1973 line-drawn cover by George Hardie. During the week leading up to the box set's release a series of short videos were released on the Pink Floyd YouTube channel entitled 50 Years in a Heartbeat – the Making of The Dark Side of the Moon which include archival footage of the band speaking about the album and new footage of those involved with the design on the 50th anniversary set.

The beautiful photo book doesn’t include any photos from Abbey Road whatsoever, and focuses solely on soundchecks, tour, after show parties.

Sadly, I compared this vinyl to my original UK first pressing, this (Mint) LP cut is inferior to the original (VG+) in almost every way. The box set is packaged inside 2 cardboard boxes, 43,2 x 43,4 x 12,7 cm, total weight 6,6 kilograms. The Dark Side of the Moon 50th Anniversary is a box set reissue of English progressive rock band Pink Floyd's original 1973 album. Extras: Memorabiliabr/ Deluxe box includes: CD + LP of remastered original album, CD + LP of 'The Dark Side of the Moon - Live at Wembley, 1974', Blu-Ray of original album - 5. Plus - and for audiophiles, this is something of a miracle - they've solved the distortion issue around 6 minutes into Us and Them which always drove me crazy.

He said to his mystified colleagues that it was like a DB9 where every little piece is a little bit better. Its been near on 40 years since I last put a needle on vinyl but I was looking through my old record collection, much of which is missing, and thought I would love to hear them again. This live release is the first ever vinyl issue of Pink Floyd’s ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon – Live At Wembley Empire Pool, London, 1974’ which will also be released independently. Fifty years on, in recognition of the iconic album and with the help of huge strides in technology, an official full dome experience with stunning visuals of the solar system and beyond and played out to 42 minutes of The Dark Side Of The Moon, will be released in Planetariums around the world in March.
