What he uncovers is a terrible and bloody crime scene: a scared and surprisingly alluring young woman has apparently escaped from captivity and skillfully bludgeoned her ruthless captor to death with a lamp. A stunning stand-alone thriller following a Detroit cop's hunt for a serial killer like no other, from the bestselling authors of The Noise.

Although meant to prolong the suspense, I did keep cursing when I had to keep remembering what had happened before and after. O'Brien and his team are at a night club where the widow is and they have snipers trained on the club and want Archer to come out. There she is given the chance to undo her regrets and try out each of the other lives she might have lived. An actor portraying Black Widow on stage also affected him, and Hawkeye leaves the theater after the situation becomes too much for him.This deadly string of secrets didn't begin in his home city-but he's going to make sure it ends there. DEATH OF THE BLACK WIDOW jumps between different time frames --- NOW, the present, and various dates in the past. They'd need to go to different times and places in history before Thanos retrieved the Infinity Stones, and get them all back, together, in the same place.
