About this deal
The sustainability standard for the production of textiles guarantees the highest level of safety for the consumer, responsible use of resources and the lowest possible impact on people and the environment.
However if you could only just fit your gear into the old main bag you will now have to take less or get used to using the daypack for gear storage not just excursions. There is a small pocket on the front, perfect for storing small items such as change, medication, cables or even a pair of sunglasses. The 13L daypack is small, but that doesn’t mean it’s useless with a padded laptop sleeve, zip pocket and space for a jumper, snack and small amount of camera gear in the main compartment. Before I zipper up the straps, I sometimes tuck in a hoodie or jacket that I usually have hanging in the front and zipper it up along with the straps.
The Fairview has established itself as the go-to piece of luggage for travel adventures, and now it's more sustainable than ever. I’d love to see a detachable shoulder strap on the Fairview 55 and 70, but this is only available on the smaller 40 litre size. Some travelers put their towels or dirty laundry in it, I didnt find this pocket useful and it stayed empty most of the time.
I can live without pockets, less space or anything, but when I carried the bag a lot, it started to hurt after a few months. The shoulder yoke is also narrower than on the Farpoint, another female specific feature that adds to the Fairview’s overall comfort. This insufficiency in comfort didn’t start ‘weighing’ on me until maybe the 3rd or 4th month of my travels so again it really depends on what type of traveller you are.
