Not only has Nell to contend with Cornish weather and her mother's barbed comments, she has to cope with the imminent visit from her older brother, his perfect wife and eccentric twin sons and, what's worse, her younger sister and future brother in law - the man who used to be her lover! I loved: Nell, of course she is the heroine, but how she deals with her sister's new life, and being a single mom and always hoping to get over the fact that the man she loved married her sister- makes this book worth reading. She wields filth like Da Vinci does a paintbrush, and there’s a lot to be said for an author who can fill such exchanges with all the requisite heat, enthusiastic consent, and yes, even humor, of such a scenario without veering into corny territory. Hannah, Piper's younger and musical lover sister, alongside Fox, Brendan's best friend and crew mate are expected to have a story of their own which I am truly excited about.

this book had my back arching, toes curling, neck cracking, bed sheet gripping, knee trembling, and ass smacking. While Brendan might start on the wrong foot, with his grumpiness and no-nonsense attitude, he did come around in loving Piper the way she is. To teach her a lesson he has a perfect plan: Piper will be exiled to a small Pacific Northwestern town: Westport . The prose is clunky, the plot (such as it is) is risible, the town of Westport is barely sketched in as a place, and side characters are unconvincing as people and/or are dropped along with their plotlines. The male characters were great, the family was complex enough without sighing at the outrageousness of it all (which can happen alot with commerical fiction) an easy enjoyable read. Also if I ever have to hear a pussy referred to as "her femininity" ever again it'll be far too fucking soon. This contemporary romance follows Piper and Brendan as they try to figure out how two very different people can build a lasting relationship.

So he cuts her off, and sends Piper and her sister to learn some responsibility running their late father’s dive bar. He occasionally shows “rare male vulnerability” but mostly Brendan’s expression is one of “male appreciation [that draws] his features tight. But throughout it all, Piper discovers herself and her duality and her many complexities and that she’s allowed her presence on social media to rule her life. We can see a similar pattern of how too much indulgence in social media and party life can backfire and negatively affect your life through Piper’s character. Plus this is a small-town romance, which means that a lot of care went into developing the setting and the residents of the town/side characters. Meanwhile, Brendan had to sacrifice his boring routines and acted like that was on par to what Piper had to give up to be with him. I enjoyed the family secrets and the tangled relationships of the family and that the plot bowled along. This is a lightweight summery story, about a woman who goes back to Cornwall for the summer to look after her aged Mum.

While a lot of romances skirt around the fact that the female lead might be high-maintenance, I love how this book puts it front and center. The conflict then ends up being resolved incredibly quickly without the root cause of the issues ever being addressed, and then the book ends. There was more to it than your usual chick lit and it made Cornwall sound like a fabulous place to visit. So he cuts her off, and sends Piper and her sister to learn some responsibility running their late father's dive bar.I couldn't make up my mind on whether it was moving too quickly for my tastes or the cute ass moments between them were worth the pace. Except now she’s walking around in a towel, sleeping right across the hall, and Fox is fantasizing about waking up next to her for the rest of his life and… and… man overboard!

Another thing is the sibling relationship between Piper and Hannah, it was definitely the highlight of the book.Brendan on the other hand has me looking for apartments in a small town known for fishing in the hopes that i may come across a 6 foot something, breaded, grumpy, buff as fuck dude that’ll fall hopelessly in love with me. She's determined to show her stepfather-and the hot, grumpy local-that she's more than a pretty face. They literally go on one date before they jump in bed, and then both start thinking they love each other within about three weeks of knowing each other. Our team is made up of book lovers who are dedicated to sourcing and providing the best books for kids. Piper needs to be taught a lesson any 28 year old woman should have known long prior: aspirations and responsibility.
