About this deal

The MG series first made an appearance in the mid-00s, offering built-in digital effects, intuitive design and solid-state power in one of the most affordable packages Marshall had ever offered. With the Origin 50H, Marshall has gone back to what it does best – and has put it all into a budget-friendly package.

Den har alla finesser och sound man behöver som amatör, men instruktionerna var knapphändiga och vi har fortfarande inte riktigt koll på vad alla knappar och rattar har för funktioner. It improved the Marshall marginally, but the Fender still sounded better, even through the separate cabinet that I was using for the Marshall. The Marshall MG50GFX Combo Amp is an awesome amp for the studio and gigging - anywhere you need great quality guitar sound in a combo amplifier. A Celestion Midnight 60 12” type speaker provides a classic all-valve, rich and harmonic Marshall tone.

I remember saying out loud to myself even though I was on my own, “Let’s see what else you can do” and so I discovered the “Tilt” feature. As far as the code goes, if you're going straight from individual pedal's to this amp, don't expect to get your knickers blown away. They're also now owned by Zound Industries after being sold on by the Marshall family (they are still the largest stakeholder). For the MG50GFX, however, Marshall have also added a dedicated delay control, offering four varieties of ambient effects. The tube amplifiers of company founder Jim Marshall († 2012) have been writing Rock music history since 1962 with names like Pete Townshend, Jimi Hendrix, and Eric Clapton. it literally loves pedals and Les paul's classic 57's but does also a great job with P90 and Telecaster's PUs.
