It simply folds in half and then the red sides come out in three stages depending on the size of your child. I think it’s fantastic that this travel booster has a full height headrest that is adjustable as your child grows.

They reluctantly gave up their old high back boosters in our car at home when the baby arrived because it was impossible to fit them in the back of the car with the huge baby car seat. There are adjustable belt guides on either side of the child’s hips to hold the lap belt snugly in place and off their soft stomach. The hifold fit and fold booster seat actually fits very comfortably in the back of our car and even fits in the middle seat!

Whilst the boys are old enough to just have a booster seat (such as the mifold Comfort that we use for backpacking), we prefer a car seat with a head rest as the passenger seat they sit on doesn’t have one.

It was a four hour drive from our home in the Peak District and the boys said they were super comfy.For anyone backpacking with their kids, or needing a compact car seat for car hire, the mifold Comfort gets a big thumbs up from us. When we checked in for our flight to Dubai we had to drop it at a different desk because it was too light for the usual luggage ramps.

There is a third clip on a strap that pulls the seatbelt chest strap down correctly onto the bones of the shoulder; away from the face and neck. Both mifold and hifold solve traditional booster challenges by being portable, compact and adjustable.
