Then years later, I met and my in love with Dom and OMG he hated the doner kebab with a passion and always told me that it smelt like sweaty feet and was the worst of the worst of the lamb and other meats and to eat something better.

Rose, I don't have a favorite side dish for this chicken but most of the time I serve it with white rice (jasmine), mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables. We started Made With Lau to honor and share the legacy of our wonderful parents, Jenny and Chung Sun Lau. Chicken breasts and thighs can be cooked together but will often need to be pulled out at different times for best results. For salad items you can add some lettuce or red cabbage, onion, tomatoes, cucumber and of course lets not forget about the garlic yoghurt. They mention it's absolutely sensational, adds a real spicy kick to virtually any meat or vegetable dish and is great value for money. I will let it marinate for 2 days and then cook various ways and it is always very tender and flavorful.

You want the temperature of the grill to be medium and you will need to flip the chicken frequently as the sweet sauce is prone to burning. Boneless and skinless will cook a little less time, but with dark chicken meat it's very hard to over-cook it like you could a chicken breast. So over the next 10 plus years I barely touched a doner kebab and instead we had other takeaways and also made plenty of fakeaways at home. The marinade and anything that you add to it will be safe to eat as long as you cook it to 165F or higher. Though I have also seen a doner kebab fakeaway made cheapter, by swapping the lamb for 50 percent lamb and 50% pork. Some of my chicken thighs were huge so I added 10 minutes to the recipe and just pulled out the smaller pieces at about the 30 minute mark. When chicken goes bad, it will smell bad, you will notice it immediately, that's when you should trash it. personally, I would either leave it out as it contains many of the ingredients that are already in the marinade.

I think the comments about marinades not being safe to serve arise from confusion between cooked and uncooked 'sauces'. I really enjoy Asian inspired cuisine and since I found this recipe it has been my go to marinade for chicken thighs. I got busy so I planned ahead and put in the oven for 2 hours on 350 degrees and the chicken falls right off the bone.I had some bourbon infused maple syrup that I had no idea what to do with (son bought it by mistake and gifted it to me). Or you can follow our ninja foodi meatloaf recipe and then swap the ingredients and then you have the time and temp of the ninja to refer to. Well, I didn’t get to try any, but the hubby came home after a night of Lyft driving and devoured this, declaring it excellent and a keeper recipe for sure. But if you let them marinate in a fridge for a few hours or even longer, say overnight, they will blow your mind with intense, deep and complex flavors, and tender and juicy meat.
