About this deal

Nell reaches out to her great friend Cricket as well as her eclectic group of narried friends, all offering their own thoughts. You’ll laugh, cry and possibly rage a few times whilst reading this, but what’s reading for if not to make you feel something?

More Confessions of a Forty-Something Fk Up" is a must-read that reminds us that amidst life's curveballs, there's always room for growth, laughter, and a touch of glamour. Yorkshire born and raised, Alexandra lived for several years in LA before settling in London with her Californian husband and their Bosnian rescue dog.I also love all of Nell's friends that are all going through their own stuff but come together in a mad group and Edward too I really love their relationship it all felt real not like a Hollywood relationship but one with all the nitry gritty bits no one talks about. there’s the ‘unexpected baggage’, things you thought you’d dealt with and suddenly find that you haven’t. No old lady hair’ should have been included in our wedding vows as my husband has made me promise this on numerous occasions. Whilst sharing the flat with not only Edward and their dog, but also his two teenage sons, a surprise pregnancy test throws Nell's world into a spin.

A novel for any woman who wonders how the hell she got here, and why life isn't quite how she imagined it was going to be. Alexandra’s novel, One Good Thing, is still one of my forever favourites, and I loved how different this book was to it, whilst still being every bit as wonderful and addictive. Over the course of the novel, we met Nell navigating a post-lockdown world, dealing with her new stepfamily, and learning not to trust what you see on socI’ve done it myself: posted the photo of four smiling faces with a ‘what a lovely day with besties – and so lucky with the weather. She learns not only that ‘while broken hearts heal…you never forget’, but also the need to be true to yourself.
