Description

Can't rate this chain saw high enough, my 1st petrol one and oh so much easier cutting logs, goes through large logs so easy wish I,d of bought this saw sooner, nice carry bag to keep it dry when in storage in my shed The P6220C 62cc 2-stroke petrol chainsaw from P1 Power Equipment is a heavy-duty chainsaw designed to deal with tough sawing requirements. The ergonomically designed handles are fitted with anti-vibration technology to increase comfort and protect the user's hands.

Modern unleaded petrol can go off in as little as 30 days. If you are storing the chainsaw for long periods, either run the engine dry of fuel or use 'Aspen 2' fuel to prevent the carburettor from getting clogged from congealed unleaded petrol. The bar length refers to the length of the chain and cutting blade. The longer the blade, the more efficient it will be. Some chainsaws will come with longer chains and other short ones.In terms of design, this chainsaw boasts everything that you’d expect from a high-end chainsaw. It has a 50 cm (20”) bar, making it suitable for professional use too, and its trigger, on/off button, primer bubble, and choke button are all positioned for convenient access. It even comes with its own carry bag – granted, this isn’t a huge deal, but for someone like myself who often carries chainsaws around, having a carry bag is definitely convenient. More power and speed than other models. Petrol powered chainsaws are the most powerful of the 3 types, which makes them perfect for heavy duty tasks However, the one you choose will depend on what you think is the ideal chainsaw for you. They both have their advantages, but the petrol chainsaw will offer you more benefits than an electric one.

The weight of the chainsaw will dictate the power to weight ratio of the chainsaw. A higher ratio will mean the weight doesn’t get in the way of the chainsaw’s power and that it can handle medium to heavy-duty cutting jobs. Very pleased with this chainsaw. Easy to assemble, but had to adjust the slow running. Been using for a couple of days now and does the job well. I used this chainsaw continuously for about three hours and, by the end of it, it was performing just as well as it did at the start. I appreciated the automatic chain lubrication system as it meant that I could put all of my focus on cutting, rather than having to regularly stop to ensure that the chain was greased up.

Just like most of the best petrol chainsaws that I reviewed, this one is equipped with a well-placed on/off button, a large trigger, a choke button, and a primer button. It also comes with a decompression button that supposedly makes it easy to start the chainsaw from cold. This was the only chainsaw I reviewed that had this feature. Before I could get started, I had to assemble the chainsaw. Fortunately, this didn’t take long – I had it all put together in less than ten minutes. All you need to do is insert the bar and chain, which was made easier by the fact that this chain didn’t need to be unravelled. All the tools that you’ll need for assembly are also supplied with the chainsaw. Again, in terms of both performance and power, there wasn’t really a significant difference between the P1PE and the Hyundai. The P1PE was able to neatly slice through trunks that were roughly 102 cm (40”) in diameter, yet it handled smaller branches just as well too. The minimal assembly required for this chainsaw left me impressed right from the start. It only took about ten minutes in total to fit the bar and chain on, and then another few minutes to pour in fuel and oil. The fact that ParkerBrand has included a comprehensive tool kit with this machine makes the assembly process much faster.

The chainsaw is a machine and, as such, will have an engine. Like with vehicles, a more powerful engine will mean more powerful performance. That is why you need to consider the engine before buying. Excellent quality product supplied with two saw chains, easy to assemble started after three attempts

Why You Can Trust DIY Garden

This chainsaw weight is a paltry 6.7kgs which makes its weight to power ratio lower. That means you can work for more extended work sessions without worrying about hand fatigue common with other heavier chainsaws.

Derek has real-world tested 61 products for DIY Garden, and is one of our most experienced testers. With an X-Torque engine, it guarantees you superior cutting speeds and smoother cuts. The primer and the stop switch make it easy to start. It will only take you a few minutes to have it ready to cut. No matter how well-designed or powerful a chainsaw may be, this doesn’t mean anything unless that chainsaw is also easy and convenient to use. Fortunately, this ParkerBrand chainsaw couldn’t have been more comfortable to handle, even for long periods of time.

More about this manual

Starting a chainsaw can sometimes be a frustrating process, so I was delighted to find that this chainsaw started first time every time, no matter whether it was warm or cold. That said, I did still press the priming bubble before turning the chainsaw on – it didn’t seem to push the petrol through properly, but, thankfully, this didn’t really matter since the chainsaw was so easy to get going. The weight of your chainsaw will be measured in kilograms, and this will directly impact the ease of use. Fortunately I stumbled across this online on sale. Thought I'd take a punt and was not dissapointed.
