The supporting characters- Indy, was the most annoying character in this book for me. The way she talks is just so damn immature, it irked me a lot. Maddison and his whole family were sweet. Ryan is another character I liked. Kai is a single dad and only wants the best for his son, Max. Because of that, he goes through nannies… one right after the other. He’s a pro baseball player and his team is supportive, but they need a nanny that will last the rest of the season. He’s skeptical when it comes to Miller Montgomery, but he loves Miller’s father so he gives her a try.

Growing with not only Zanders but Stevie is insane and makes me love this book so much. The portrayal of mental health in Liz’s book is simply incredible. With all his books, I never wanted them to end. I can’t wait for the next book in the series and see Liz becoming an even more amazing author. These characters feel so real and genuine to me. Stevie was easy to love and relate to. Her insecurities play a huge role in her life even tho she often doesn’t show it. She’s young and has no idea what her passion in life is and that’s okay. It’s refreshing. I loved Zanders as well. Did he have the same personality as every single mmc from all the sports romances I’ve ever read? Absolutely but I still ate it up as always. The side characters were essential to the story. Indy, Rio, Maddison, Logan and Ryan were the perfect addition to this found-family and I loved them all. Even Zanders’ father. Their relationship was so complex and very well written. Every single relationship in this book was perfect. I actually can’t wait to read Ryan’s book. I was holding on to those Indy/Ryan crumbs for dear life. You don’t have to love your body every single day. That’s unrealistic to expect, but I’ll be here loving it for the days you can’t.❞ The spice was 5/5. Zanders is a playboy so he has moves and skills he deserves, but I was pleasantly surprised by Stevie’s confidence, even if he was initially hesitant. They were flammable in the best way. On the romantic side, I couldn’t stop fainting. The way Zanders loves Stevie through his insecurities and the way Stevie loves him through her grudges on the past is so good. They challenge each other and get stronger. and i have to mention that she was kind of giving i’m not like other girls at times. she drinks beer constantly, only buys thrifted clothes (even though she has money) and uses stained sweatpants and dirty sneakers almost all the time. she’s so different, right? and the weirdest thing is that there’s this scene where she goes out in the street with mustard in her chin — and yes, she’s aware, but she doesn’t even bother to wipe it. like, hello?!

And who is this?” Kai’s eyes linger on the woman at my side… in a you’re one of the most beautiful women I’ve had the pleasure to lay eyes on way.

at this point my avoid shelf is looking like books to torture/trigger myself with for no good reason other than the fact that i’m a masochist Zander’s conversation with his father had me crying. The way his relationship with his father came around… 😢.I loved watching him fall for Stevie and even more, I loved watching her gain confidence and love herself. Zee was so into her and it was obvious how much he cared. He never made her question her worth.
