This medicine contains 1.25 mg benzyl alcohol in each 125mg, which is equivalent to 0.01mg/mg. Benzyl alcohol may cause allergic reactions and mild local irritation. Aspirin works in a similar way to ibuprofen. Like ibuprofen, it's good for period pain and migraines. But if you have heavy periods, it can make them heavier. Whilst no teratogenic effects have been demonstrated in animal experiments, the use of ibuprofen during the first and second trimesters should, if possible, be avoided. NSAIDs have been associated with spontaneous abortions and congenital abnormalities. Very rarely, susceptible patients may experience the following side effects with ibuprofen, but these are extremely uncommon when ibuprofen is administered topically. If they occur, treatment should be discontinued: Paracetamol is typically used for mild or moderate pain. It may be better than ibuprofen for headaches and stomach ache. It's available as tablets, capsules, granules and as a liquid that you swallow. It also comes as a gel, mousse and spray that you rub into your skin. If you get repeated indigestion stop taking ibuprofen and see your doctor as soon as possible. If you need something to ease the discomfort, try taking an antacid, but do not put off going to the doctor.
