Description

One where you live a simple life, far removed from the politics and noise of the city, loving the land so much that the land loves you right back. Jin was actually fairly good at saving: He had been saving to purchase a few spiritual pills, after picking up so many extra chores. One where you grow delicious magic food that sells for a lot so you never have to worry about money. My young lad would follow me around during the day, hopping around, and often sitting on my shoulder, and proclaiming his dominance to the world, the cheeky shit.

Jin was kind of an idiot for not getting out of the way in time when the little shit wanted to fuck somebody up, but at least there was no meridian destroying because "the commoner was so beneath him". And it's actually cool, how you implement Taoism, in story, because many cultivations are based on it, but cultivators themselves, don't stuck to this pathway. There was a happy squeal from outside and the thunder of trotters, as the heavens decided to mock her.Our main character is sensible, not overly smart or stupid but more 'honest-to-god', type smart; being a very low-key character but still able to hold his ground. I seem to have exposed myself to a lot of stories with heavy themes, high stakes, nasty characters, and hard times. Indeed, Jin Rou was not powerful, but he was diligent, and always willing to tend to the less desirable tasks around the sect. So he goes from being the least of a powerful sect to the most powerful guy around in a sector of the world he chose for its lack of people/things who might xianxia the place up.

If you are into slice of life, with a lot of focus on romance then I would certainly give this book a go. Even a cultivator in the sky real could be foiled by all five” - Volume 3 Chapter 49 - “All five of Lu Ban’s treasures activated. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. One who practices the cultivation of qi in combination with mastering martial arts and tends to be a total jerk to anyone else who is considered weaker than themselves. Turns out that just because he turned his back on cultivation, doesn't mean that the Cultivator Life is going to leave him behind so easily. The characters are endearing and relatable, the farming is enjoyable, the action is fun and the story is captivating.

I died, got reborn, ran away from my sect and ultimate power, started a farm, made some friends, awakened all my animals into Spirit Beasts so now they’re running around talking and getting into life-and-death battles with super-powered bandits . Recent threadmarks the timeline of Lu Ban New on book 3 On Shen Yu vs the Cloudy Sword Sect and Shen Yu vs Soaring heavens Isle. Apart from a rocky first chapter that seems to rush through the initial scenes (which may be by design), the book really started to pull me in.The sexual awkwardness is the usual for this kind of story, with the protagonist spending far too many words explaining why he felt uncomfortable undressing a wounded woman, and the same woman later admiring him in her mind (over and over) for not taking advantage of her. Regardless, the main focus is not power levels, but the relationships the characters form as they help each other, party together, and occasionally trade pointers. It's not really a completed novel in its own right, or at least not in the typical story structure I expect with most fantasy. Instead of a lifetime of battle, my biggest concerns are building a house, the size of my harvest, and the way the girl from the nearby village glares at me when I tease her. Just wanted to point out one more thing i don't know for sure because i don't keep up with the author's notes to readers all the time, but the story does kinda hint at harem, i don't know if the author has explicitly said harem isn't a thing or if it is but i know some people are turned off from the harem genre in story and so i wished for you to know.

While it started as a usual isekai of someone’s soul getting trapped in someone else’s body (there was room, that person had just died), it turned into an amusing parody/send up of the genre.Add to that the unfitting first-person partial narration, and the fact that everyone seem to immediately idolize this guy's character even though he's just an average guy with superpowers, and what you get is a wish-fulfillment fantasy that's badly executed on all fronts. I felt at first like it was going to be a 3-star read (perfectly acceptable by my standards), but it grew into 4 stars, and then 5 (and then down to 4 again after a cooling-off period), progressing like the progression fantasy it is. That, and being able to tear a stump out of the ground with nothing but brute strength would never get old. The answer, I think, is the wish fulfillment aspect of it, which is done quite badly here in general: The protagonist reincarnates from our world into a fantasy world, but it seems the author didn't put much thought into why. It starts off with the titular chicken then expands to multiple POV farm critters that are just the best.
